Following Arena Internet Cafe's previous successful tournaments (#1, #2, #3, #4 we are happy to announce our first invitational tournament with a much improved $1000 prize pool.
Information
Date: November 26, schedule below
Location: Arena Internet Cafe, 264-268 Rundle Street, Adelaide SA 5000 (in between Al Fresco and Piatto)
Entry fee: $25 (spectating is free of course)
The tournament is only for players in Master and Grand Master leagues, and has a maximum of 32 players.
The tournament will be played on the South East Asian server.

1pm-2pm: Lunch, with all remaining LB Round 1 games being played out.
2pm-7pm: Playing period 2, getting most of the tournament done at this time, hopefully to the final 6 or so.
7pm-8pm: Dinner, pizza delivered if people don't want to go out and eat in Rundle St/Mall
8pm-finish: Playing period 3, finishing the tournament!
Prizes
1st place: $1000
We will also be doing raffle prizes for spectators and players, mostly in the form of goodies from the events sponsors.
If you are from interstate and wish to participate: You can get in contact with me at marconofrio1@gmail.com or in game FXOfrequency.299 (SEA, NA, Korea)
Media
The tournament will be streamed online by FXOpen TV
There will be plenty of photos on the day and hopefully some video content and interviews etc.
Spectating
Spectating is more than welcome and personally encouraged. To support this, we will be trying to provide the best possible spectator experience in a multitude of ways including: dedicated screens around the cafe for people to watch games far more easily than crowding behind players as they play, prize giveaways, free food (massive amounts of pizza), and a chance to meet and watch the best in Australia.
Other information
Players will be allowed to bring their own equipment (mouse, mousepad, keyboard, headset etc). The computers are more than capable of running StarCraft II at it's highest settings. The monitors are very large (27"), but it may be possible to use smaller monitors if required.
For interstate competitors: we will be speaking with hotels and restaurants around the city to try and set up deals for the cheapest possible accommodation and cheap food (Rundle Street is usually pretty expensive -_-) - for any inquires just email me.
There will be at least 20 PCs dedicated to running the tournament, players will need to report their results immediately once they are finished and they will be told to either pack up for someone else to use the PC or to stay to play another game. We are aiming for as little downtime as possible, so this is imperative to the smooth running of the tournament.
If you have any inquiries please post in this thread, email me at marconofrio1@gmail.com, or message me in game at FXOfrequency.299 (NA and SEA)

Huge. I can't wait for this tourney, Frequency runs a good show and with free food and a room full of Australia's greatest and most attractive pro gamers I can't see how this can go wrong.
Nice prize pool.... I wish I had more time to play sc2!
November 28 is a monday?
You're getting an invite, so you better practice!

Yea it is cheap if I book today, my only worry is the amount they are travelling, with IEM, WCG and Blizzcon on. We shall see!
It's all a month separate, only thing that could've clashed was WCG grand finals (December 7-10), but only 1 Australian will be going to that so it should be fine.
Lot better players than me around, but id consider driving/flying from Melbourne just to meet some of the Adelaide guys/other invites. Would have to look at the costs involved, considering i wouldn't come anywhere near prize money lol.
The $1000 prize is tempting me to make arrangements for Enderr to join this tournament. But the winner take all thing is making me hesitate so much lol. GLHF to all participants!

I'm going to a meeting right now to discuss some things, getting more money is priority #1 (obviously), and we'll be talking about the future of our tournaments too. If all goes well I'm sure he'll be coming to a tournament in the near future ^^
Edit: Turns out we're meeting tomorrow instead -_-

I'm going to veto metal anyway but leave shakuras in pls. I don't like not being able to punish zerg for a fast gold without cannon rushing. Honestly all golds should have rocks.

Xel is a worse map anyway, shittest gameplay of any of them..
Oh wow, I forgot to write the schedule for the day.
It will be:
Coming to warm up/practice/get used to the screens: 9am-11am (I'll be there for that time, basically).
Tournament start: 11am
Go until 1pm, where we'll have a ~1 hour lunch break, but still try to get some games in during that time to keep the tournament going.
2pm-7pm get the bulk of the tournament done.
7pm-8pm 1 hour dinner break again
Should be more or less finished by 8pm, so the remaining games after dinner.
What do people think about replacing dual sight with Calm before the storm?
I'm assuming the map choosing system will be some sort of veto shenanigans, meaning putting CbtS in there wouldn't do much to help us except make their first veto pretty easy to choose :P

Ill be there for sure, gonna bus it down from up north in the sticks finally gonna do something i never did in Wc3 and meet other players, WOOHOO!!!!!!!! So ******* psyched
I will be honest, I wanna show the clan guys my stuff so I might get asked to join one of the big guys but itll be a blast to see all the awesome guys down here! GL HF everyone!!
Last night EdgE called me out on stream, so I guess I have to turn up and fanboy him all day long? If I just call Cameron like Tom Hanks does Wilson, will you come to me form across the gaming floor?
I'll fanboy scream when you win and make excuses if you lose! Like a laggy computer, and you could beat any of the people who showed up there, then you can challenge them and lose 3-0
