How does this competition work?
Basically we have chosen three of the top games within the Australian competitive scene and united them for a good cause.
All money donated to charity!
We will be running a double elimination tournament for each of our three chosen games (CoD4, LoL and SC2) but there is a twist, these competitions are being run for amateur (Bronze, Silver, Gold) players only.
Event Format
Bracket: Double Elimination, best of 3. Entry Requirements: Bronze, Silver or Gold (1v1) League Australian/NZ residents only. Entry Fee: $5.00
Schedule
Event commences: Saturday, October 22, 11:00AM AEST WB & LB Ro4 onwards: Sunday, October 23, 4:00PM AEST Grand Finals: Saturday, October 29, 4:00PM AEST
You can find more in-depth rules on the forums: HERE
How does this competition benefit the charity?
Each sponsoring partner will be putting $300 towards our chosen charity - the Starlight Childrens Foundation. Additionally, the $5 entry fee from every participant will also be donated to charity.
If players and spectators wish to donate any extra money to the chosen charity, you can do so by going to this link and donating. Please make sure you use your real name and gamer name so we can track you! http://www.everydayhero.com.au/ttcharitychallenge Even the highest donor gets a prize! (See below)
How do I sign up?
Head to www.tteal.com.au/forums and register an account.
At the top of the board you will see 'Charity Challenge', click on this and choose your game. Start dates, prize information and a signup section will all be included in there. Entry fees can be submitted via Paypal - $5.00 AUD to derek@sea-play.com. Please ensure you include both your real name and in-game name in the transaction message!
Btw just to prevent confusion - the poster says October 5th, but that's when the entire Charity event (including CoD and LoL) begins. So don't worry, you've got more than 1 weeks notice.
Wow that's really awesome !
Unfortunately i am not from australian or new zealand resident and can't participate ;( .
I can help to stream some games if required. We'll make announcement with Maynarde for this charity challenge during the BSG Allstars on thursday so more people can be aware of it .

Aww shucks =| Too bad then. I'll have to remove myself from the tournament.
Just an update here - I've updated my original post and now the entry requirement is Australian/NZ residents, not citizens! Hope to see more people joining up now.
I hope we can see a lot of people signing up for this competition, it's all for a good cause.
Just a note for donations hit the donate button and select your 'team member you would like to show support for' as Chris Smith and fill out all the other details.
Make sure you use your name and you can put your gamer name as your comment so we know who you are.
Then wallah, donation done and you are in the draw.
Another update - I'll be accepting payments (for entry) later on this week. Just setting up the payment portal now. Should be ready by Friday. Keep the sign up's coming, but hold off on the payment for a few days.
Just a copy/paste of the e-mail I've sent out to our top competitors today.

I'll also be posting a copy of this e-mail on the ThermalTake eSports forums in-case it doesn't reach all of you!
Hey... Firstly - awesome job by dox - that guy is definately well hung.
Also, congrats to all players - some amazing games from all!! Especially Fridge and my PvP games! Changing the PvP meta game!?!... that was awesome!

Good luck to everyone with the random prize draws also!!..
Thanks Dox for organising this event. I'm sure everyone has had a great run of games. Best moment was when someone raged because they lost to a T for the first time ever?

Good luck Chadmann, you're going down!! ^^
Firstly - that guy raging about losing to a Terran for the first time was SOOO LOL - especially because he lost in the winners bracket then logged off and received a walk over in the losers bracket - cause he was to busy QQing about losing to a Terran..
And suman - I hope you like my nexus in your main... ;-)
no one tells Fridge to GTFO and say EZ PZ in a streamed game... I do it - for Fridge.
Yet to hear from Tt about my prize also....
if you've been unable to contact me via email - PM me here and i'll provided you with any details you require.
Sorry for the lack of forum posts guys, we are still waiting on two people to reply to their emails (one being a person who placed second) then we can get all this stuff emailed out!
The random prizes are going to:
Highest Donor: Krrn - ASUS GTX560 DirectCU II TOP
