Registration:
1) You must be at least 1,000 points in the Diamond League
2) You must write your character name and code (e.g. HDPhoenix.202) in this forum or any of the forums the SSL is posted in
3) You must send an email, with your handphone number to HDPhoenixx@gmail.com (this is for admin purposes only)
Important Info:
1) The cost of the tournament is $0.00. All LAN Time is kindly sponsored by Colosseum, which is on the 7th floor of Iluma, at Bugis!
2) Date of Tournament: 27th December, Monday, 6pm - Midnight. Come at 5pm for registration and admin processing
3) There is no more SSL Wildcard. Instead, it is now the Singapore Amateur League (SAL) and will be first hosted by MysteryBox, at basement 1, Golden Wall Towers. For more info, visit the other tournament thread on the first SAL.
4) Number of competitors: 32 players. If response is good (and by SSL Nov's response, there is a good chance), I will increase the player pool to 64!
5) Seeding: All 16 who qualified for SSL Nov, if they choose to re-enter for SSL Dec WILL be seeded and not meet each other till the Round of 16.
6) ONLINE QUALIFIERS: The Round of 32 (and possibly Round of 64) will be ONLINE, Best of 3 matches, SINGLE ELIMINATION (for neatness). Making it into the Round of 16 earns you a spot on 27th Dec at Colosseum to fight for $1,000 total prize pool!
7) Round of 16 OFFLINE, at Colosseum: Round of 16 onwards will be DOUBLE-ELIMINATION! Best of 3 matches
8) Map Selection: 7 maps will be the map pool. On coin flip, the 1st player veto 1 map, then 2nd player veto 2 maps, 1st player veto last map and chooses STARTING map. On lost, player gets to choose next map
Maps are:
Lost Temple
Metalopolis
Xel'Naga Caverns
Delta Quadrant
Shakura Plateau
Jungle Basin
Scrap Station
9) CUT OFF DATES: Registration ends on 19th Dec. Brackets will be announced by 20th Dec. Rof64 matches MUST be played by 21st Dec, Rof32 matches MUST be played by 23rd Dec. After that, enjoy your Christmas and get ready for the EPIC CLASH on the 27th!!
I could not get MSS shirts printed in time. I will find another way to compensate you guys, sorry about that.... >_< This is why I hate announcing things early before its actually done, something always ends up shaking.. then explode!
2) SSL Tournament Girls! -FILLED-
For the first time, SSL will be their own tournament girls, Sheryl and Eunice! They will be showcasing Colosseum's EPIC tournament-only deals (the exact amounts is still being worked out but its awesome!), being marshals for the finals and escorting our lucky winners for prize giving!
3) Spread the word at your schools, workplace, the local McDonalds that SSL Dec is here! Guys, I'm serious. Let everyone know, bring your friends! For all 3 finals, there will be seats placed out so you can view the big screen like a cinema. It'll be awesome! And the more people come, the easier I can get sponsors = SSL Jan will have a BIGGER PRIZE POOL! Help me out guys, spread the word =)
Hey guys!!
Brackets are finally out! You have till the 23th night to complete just 1 set of games. The winner of the set gets to go to SSL Dec at Colosseum.
*If you win, you must email me the replays to HDPhoenixx@gmail.com to validate it AND pls post here in the forums
*In the event of a dispute of matches, the matches with the earlier time stamp will be counted
*Good luck! Have fun all! =D
p.s. No video of how I drew lots. Sorry, I just don't have the time to put up a video on this as I would like to spend the time casting more games before I fly again till Friday. The top 8 of SSL Nov were seeded, and the rest were randomly drawn.
Good luck and hope you all got the easy brackets you wish/hope/dream for! ^_^
though may i suggest the online qualifiers to be in groups of 4/6 and top 2 proceed or something? leave it up to the players to sort out the matches, and report scores/replays themselves.

That's a good idea but it'll be messy and I don't have much time from 19th registration close to 23rd to finalize the 16 players. To keep things neat, I'll keep the current format
Good luck, work hard at your school/job, work hard at Starcraft 2!
btw GGMuse, I take it you're signing up? You're seeded if you do so you won't run into any other SSL Nov players till Rof16
@ Xeen: Cool, registered

If you can be there for the LAN tournament, it doesn't matter what nationality you are! Unless you're N.Korean, then the SC2 will shake... then explode
In under 3 days, SSL Dec is filled up. Back up list of players starting. If response continues to be this good (I reach 45 players by 15 Dec), I will open the tournament up to 64.
Thanks everyone for the support! Enjoy your holidays and train hard!
Hey everyone! Thank you for the great support I have received for the SSL!
Registration is CLOSED, since I couldn't get the required 16 other players so I could enlarge the brackets to 64. I will be doing up the brackets today when I have the time. I will be seeding the SSL finalists in order of their placements and randomizing the other 16+ players.
Good luck in your bracket placements!
To those that registered after the 32 slots were filled, I am sorry I can't accommodate you for SSL Dec. I am working hard with various people to set up a league system and once a few kinks are worked out, we can get a more steady system for tournament qualifications. But for now, I have noted your names, codes and hp and will inform you if a slot becomes available.
Looking forward to seeing you all down at Colosseum on the 27th!
*LIVE Shoutcasts!
*Private Room for Bracket-Finals and Grand Finals!
*$1,000 CASH up for grabs!
*Special Colosseum LAN Time deals (in the works)
*SSL Tournament girls! (in the works, I've found two ladies to play host for my tournament, marshal the player during finals and for prize giving escort ^^)
Photographers and potential sponsors will be there so smile, have a great time and lets play STARCRAFT!!!!

The coinflip thing applies to qualifiers too right? How is it done?
Oh... didnt think about that... Urmmmm......
I'll leave it to you all to decide. Its too late for me to make a rule about it. If you both can't decide, play Lost Temple! =D The veto thing only applies to the tournament at Colosseum itself cause I will have marshals overseeing that portion
hey HD i dun tink i can make it for the compy itself , so can some1 from the backup list takeover me?
sorry! something came up last minute =/
Why never tell me earlier? We can arrange a "friendly" game just now if u can'y make it for compy. Even if i lose, maybe you can give up ya seat to me. LOL. *just joking* I wanna have fun playing. Wonder how HD will response to this. Kinda last minute also.
Oh crap. I playing at lan and i won ReapOmatic, i dont think i can send replay from lan.. Its at collisuem...
Ok... try to get the replays for me so I can compile the games. Which computer did you use? I might be able to pull them for you when I get back to Singapore on Sat

Just lost in some epic terrible fashion when i messed up my build order and lost an scv to a probe. Oh well, good luck to those left.
Sorry to hear that Drake. It's good experience anyways and I am organizing roughly 4 tournaments in January so there will be plenty of chances to get more experience and have fun =)

Man, you make me want to play again... I don't suppose you need a druid tank/healer or a paladin tank/healer? =X
no itz more like i push like 13khps and the others are doing like 7k. and the only reason i do so much is cos they healz so little. and the faster the dps can burn stuff, the less healers need to heal = CARRY!
clearly i was pulling top heals carrying the other healers. i keep the scrub rogue ggmera alive to do his 37.3k dps and he says im being carried. sigh. =p

Man, was SSL Dec a huge success and I much thank some very key players who made it happen.
Firstly, I would like to thank the wonderful people at Colosseum. Donald and his crew put in so much effort to get the projector working, setting up the rooms and a ton of other things. Props to them for being such wonderful hosts!!
Next I would like to thank Edward and DX's crew of photographers that covered the event. Really loved some of the shots you took and it was very professionally done. I would work with you anytime.
Also mad props to the GG website for sending down their photographers as well to cover the event! We'll definitely swap photos and we'll see how we can work together in the future!
Of course I am not forgetting our lovely ladies, Sheryl and Eunice. Thank you for helping out with escorting our players and also getting to know the game and just being awesome in general Much appreciated
Last but certainly not least, thank thank thank you so much to all the spectators that came, laugh, groaned and cheered at all the events today, esp. the AMAZING Raynor party showdown! You guys were a great crowd and hope to see you all at the next SSL!!
