Singapore's TGX 2011 will feature THREE Starcraft II tournaments which have all been scheduled on the 10th and 11th of September! (Yes, the expo starts on the 9th, Friday, but there will be no SCII action on Friday)
The TGX Regional Tournament features 8 players with the following countries represented: Singapore (2 representatives), Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, India and Malaysia.
These are the finalized groups:
Group A IN - RoG.RaZiel VN - ThuocLao TH - NEORedArchon SG - Champion
Group B PH - Mineski EnDerr MY - pRocobo SG - Runner Up ID - LigagameJoTh - ? nGenJothree
The 2 Singaporean representatives will be the 2 finalists of the Singapore WCG tournament. The foreign representatives have yet to be announced as of the writing of this post. I believe each country would have held its own tournament to determine their representative.
All TGX Regional SCII matches (tentative) should be played on the main stage and will be shoutcasted live, as opposed to the IeSF and WCG matches where only the finals will be shown on the main stage.
The IeSF SC2 tournament is a 64 player tournament with an initial round robin stage consisting of 16 groups of 4 with the top 2 of each group advancing to a round of 32 single elimination stage all the way to the finals.
Match Timings (tentative)

Prizes
1st: Razer Spectre + Banshee + Zerg Messenger Bag + Beanie + Air ticket to represent Singapore in IeSF World Championships in Andong, Korea
2nd: Razer Spectre + Zerg Messenger Bag

The top 4 players of this tournament will be automatically seeded into the top 32 for WCG Singapore SC2 Finals.
WCG Singapore is the 56 slot tournament which involves a round robin stage of 14 groups of 4 players with the top 2 advancing to the final 32 (with the addition of 4 seeded semifinalists and finalists of the would be then concluded IeSF tournament) who will then face off in a single elimination stage to the finals.

UPDATES
1. Live Casting
It is confirmed that the SC2 live stage matches will be shoutcasted by JacziE and Mezza and there should be a live stream available of all the main stage matches! I'll post up a stream link nearer to the event as stuff gets finalized.
2. HELP NEEDED: Live streaming
Also, we are in discussion with Rapture Gaming to allow for the high level clashes from the group stage/32/16/quarter/semi matches from the IeSF as well as the WCG tournaments to be streamed lived too. However, to get this done, we'll need a volunteer (or volunteers) to help do commentary or run the stream, we'll most likely be using Xsplit and Justin.tv aka Twitch.tv for that purpose. Some expertise/experience in streaming/casting would be great.
3. HELP NEEDED: Tournament coverage/scores/brackets/articles
In addition, it would be great if we had a volunteer to help with updatingsc2sea.com's front page news with live match results and the tournament brackets as the games unfold. Post tournament article/writeups and player interviews would be great too!
4. Signups STILL OPEN FOR IeSF (International eSports Federation) tournament
As of 4/9/11 0000 hrs, I have received confirmation from the organizers that there are still open slots (25!!!) for the IeSF tournament! Signups cost 10SGD and the prizes are similar to WCG, which features the main perk of winning a trip to Andong, Korea to represent Singapore! (Which is a different tournament from WCG, which is also held in Korea).
So what are you guys waiting for?
Sign up by clicking on the link here!
I'm really appreciative of the SC2 community in Singapore who have contributed to this TGX event. It's by far the largest scale SC2 event in Singapore I think, and I'm pretty sure it'll be a huge success.
Do come down to support this event!

hey muse, to answer your question, i believe what you msged me on bnet is true, top of group A vs 2nd in group B for the group stage to ro32 matchups
as for moving the competition to the next day, i have absolutely no say in this because the tournamnet organizers are rapture. and there's a gazillion other games going on, DOTA, CS, Garena stuff, etc. and they have very fixed computer allocation schedules because of all that.
i'd imagine we'd have more flexible timings if we had a dedicated starcraft only LAN but i guess that'll be kind hard, even the overseas big events are multi-game events, so have to make do with their schedule lor

Life is short, why waste it on sleep.
also, for the registered players in Singapore, add my Bnet ID to your friends list so you guys can hop in games easier during the tournament, Mezza.445
also, during the day itself, we'll be announcing a channel where everyone's who's participating in the tournament can hop into so we can add people easily
also does anyone know anything about the overseas players? I got profiles for RedArchon and cobo but thats about it, anyone know anything about these invitees like some background/history and their gaming achievements? would be great.

Was there amongst the audience seated in the 2nd day for Philippines vs Malaysia match, too bad the first game stream went kaputt. I did actually record some of the footage with a Cameraphone.
