This event is a 128 player competition, single elimination style tournament. $75 prize on offer to the winner, sponsored by Eddie! Sc2sea will donate $30 from our community donations as well. $20 2nd prize, $10 3rd. $105 prize pool total*!

Date: Sunday, 31st of July, 2011.
Time: 7pm AEST, 5pm SGT
Location: SEA Battle.net region.
Tournament Eligibility: You must be in Masters or Grand Masters League (1v1 - SEA license). Lower players will be disqualified.

Prizes: Winner gets the $75 prize and bragging rights for being the best of the best. $20 for 2nd, $10 to 3rd - *Prizepool shall hopefully increase
Battle.net Chat-Channel: "sc2seaMC". If the event is full, the late replacement channel shall be sc2seaMCx. SorC shall be organizing replacements, pm him or talk in channel.

Rules and Regulations

· All results must be PMed to FaDeEdOne.139 or XanT.665 in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, if a replacement cannot be fount their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own Sea account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. International/non SEA players are welcome, but they must have shown they are active on the SEA ladder, eg. ST.KingKong (yChSPR/gts), SoulmanfOu (Master), Slayers_Dragon
. You are allowed to switch races

The first map of each round is pre-determined and outlined in the following list. The losing player will decide the subsequent map. The map pool is as follows:

Ro128: MLG Metalopolis (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro64: Shakuras Plateau (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro32: Tal'Darim Altar LE (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro16: GSTL Dual Site (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro8: GSL Crevasse (B03)
Semi-Finals: GSL Terminus SE (B03)
Finals: Xel'Naga Caverns (B05)
(3rd Place Match Xel'Naga 1st, B03)

Loser can pick from any the following maps:

Xel'Naga Caverns, MLG Metalopolis, Shakuras Plateau, Typhon Peaks, The Shattered Temple, Tal'Darim Altar LE, GSL Crevasse, GSL Terminus SE, GSTL Dual Site

* Players are allowed 1 veto each per round. 2 vetos are allowed in the B05 final. First game cannot be vetoed.

Doesn't this conflict with the Cityhunter tournament. Alot of Australian Sydney players won't be able to compete if the competition goes for long.

It is a shame some Sydney players might miss, but as i've said before, Masters Cup is a SEA tournament for the greater community. Masters Cup is always on Sunday, every 4 weeks. If you do miss this one, don't worry too much, there's always MC7!

I encourage Sydney players to attend the local event to support Australian e-sports, but since the CH tournament starts at 10am, hopefully quite a few will still be able to make it for our 7pm start time. You can still sign up if unsure, worst case you'll just be replaced/skipped if not online in time.
