Xlan , a huge BYOC lan event is happening in Auckland, New Zealand this weekend, run by on3network.co.nz, from 1st July to 3rd of July and they are running one of the biggest tournaments we have seen yet here in NZ with a confirmed prize pool for SC2 at $1k 1st place, $250 2nd place, $150 3rd place (And this was before Razer invested another $20k worth of prizes into the Xlan event for all of its tournaments - Razer)
I probably should've put this up here much much earlier and apologise for that (I've been really negligent to sc2sea.com T.T) but thought I'd put this thread up and give back to sc2sea.com by doing some Analysis (Or battle reports if you will!) and possibly interviews of some of NZs top Starcraft2 players that some of yoo already know and love, such as nGen Master, Tt.GiGa Kowi and nGen Jazbas (If he sorts out his sponsor already!)
I think there will also be a stream running for the event which I'll put here and announce in the shoutbox for any exciting games =]!
Xlan's tournament will also be an aid to helping me further refine and decide on the new NZ Sc2 team that will compete in the next season of SEA Nation Wars series!
My sponsor failed to pay ontime -_- they said "Everything will be fine" like everytime I asked whats going on for the past 2 weeks and look at this now - _-..

One Stage match will be casted and stream provided by Gamestah at approx 10pm NZST at: http://www.gamestah.com/gtv6 for today (Less than 1 hr from this post) and at other times later on during xlan
It'll be Crimson v Dark_Yojimbo for tonight (Probably the best match we can put on considering we have to choose from round 2 and there are a lot of low level people so trying to put on the best match up)
Tomorrow and Saturday we will have more matches and I will try my best to update here with the approx time that gamestah will stream as well as the players.
Unfortunately, there's no way to access the tournament bracket outside of the Intranet that they have set up here, but I can give away the top 4 seeds: nGenMaSteR, Tt.GiGaKowi, InfiFinest, [gD]Crimson.
I'll try provide some sort of battle reports of good matches later on in the tournament to the best of my ability
I have some xLan updates on Kowi (Making a TL thread also..)
Kowi has had a pretty cruisy LAN so far, boasting a win loss of 3-0.
Current results; Bullfrog 2-0, Trig 2-0, Stroggos 2-1 (apparently some mad lag helped him lose a map to Stroggos).
Kowi will be playin on stage at 5pm (New Zealand time) against either Finest or Darkojimbo.
Freakin' CS is still on, on the gamestah stream (http://www.gamestah.com/gtv6) but TT.GiGaKowi v InfiFinest should begin shortly after that has finished
Ill also try and make an image of the winners bracket since I can't upload the brackets from this intranet any other way sorry...
Sorry been sooo busy with organizing,
Kowi lost to Finest in the winners bracket semi's, 2 - 1, epic games
Finest lost to MaSteR, 2 - 0 in the winners bracket finals,
Kowi then worked his way back up the losers bracket to face Finest again in a revenge match with Kowi getting the better end, winning 2 - 1.
Those 2 giving such good series of games.
Kowi v MaSteR (A.k.a. Soft) will be the grand finals tomorrow and we're scheduled in for 12:30pm NZST at the above stream, we keep getting our matches shoves around though but hopefully that won't happen for the finals, gonna be really really good
CS Source went much longer than planned so the stage matches are behind schedule atm,
Kowi and Master have both done interviews (And funny poses haha) for Gamestah so I will try source them when they're up
I'll put a msg in the shoutbox when players are setting up =]
Because the stage is running so far behind schedule:
Cod4 will be played shortly (And I've been told it will take about an hr but I've been told a lot of shit this tournament...)
Then that will be followed by quake live (Which I'm aware of is Bo3 with 10 min rounds, but again, this is just what i've been told)
And THEN Starcraft will be on stage.
(This delay is actually good because they allocated 1hr 30mins of time for the Starcraft final and if they take longer than that, they would be sent off from the stage to finish the finals without a stream, effectively half streaming a grand final which would've been retarded)
Sorry for all the changes to the schedule, I'm just trying to keep everyone as updated as possible as information comes in to me =]
Prizegiving supposedly has to be at 3 and Sc2 will definitely be played so depending on on time, Quake live may be cancelled and starcraft 2 will take over it instead so Games could start anytime (I think overtime for Cod4 finals is currently taking place)
