This week's Funday

This Monday the 21st will be the 1st return of the Funday, and to celebrate, we will be having a StarJeweled 2v2 Tournament!

That is ******* right!

Sign ups can be posted here in this thread with your SC2 IGN and Character Code, you will then be added to the tournament pool and brackets will be generated on the day!

List of Players:

When: Monday 21st of November - 7pm

AEST

Where: Stream will be located over at System-TV.com

Prizes:
The winning team will be awarded with $10 to be split up between the two players.
This can be done two ways, either I will give you both $5 via Paypal, or I will give one player the $10, and it is
up to him to forward the remaining $5 to the other player.
I will not be held accountable if your team-mate doesn't give you your piece of the reward.

Rules

Please use the Official StarJeweled map hosted by Blizzard
Only games that are streamed will be played on the StarJeweled with Observer map hosted by Dorgrin
Games will be played on the SEA server
Tournament open to Everyone
Chat channel for the event will be System's Funday
Every round will be a Best of 1
Grand Finals will be a Best of 3
If there results in a tie after the games are played, we will then play an elimination style to determine the true winner.
PM the results to System.659
The Winning Player will have to send me their replays from the tournament so I can release them to the public

Please make yourself heard and reply to this thread with any questions you may have regarding anything related to the Funday.

Remember to post both your two team-mates IGN and Char code in this thread to be added to the list.

Race Wars where you do a FFA and everyone is random, and then people of the same race team up to try win it as that race.

Review replays of 2v2s where the rule is to disobey all orders from your teammate. Of course, it'd be random 2v2 so you don't know the teammate and you also ask them what they want you to do at important points.

I had one where my teammate told me to defend... Then to attack.

. Monobattles can be incorporated into anything really, FFA, team games, etc. Can even combine the mentioned ideas - Random FFA monobattles.

Meaning everyone picks random, and decides on ONE unit that EACH RACE is allowed to get (e.g. zerg = infestors, protoss = carriers, terran = ghosts) and whatever race you get you have to make only that unit.

Also, the 2v2 thing does sound fun too, I guess we could add in a feature too thats like, the Replay of the week, and its the funniest replay and watch over it halfway through the night or something.

It is basically BroodWar played with SC2 graphics and engine. Maps can be found by searching SC2BW. I'm not sure if the maps are updated on SEA server but I have informed the map maker on TL to do so.

This week we will be having a 4 hour special, so there will be plenty of chances for you guys to get in on the action.

And this week we shall be starting with FFA Race Wars which is, everyone plays random and you team up with your race!

Don't forget to join up on the channel and the stream before we start (10mins or so) and just hang out there until we get things underway!

I'm here to introduce another game for you guys. I do play this with my friends when we're bored. The game's played like this:

Pick a large map where you can accomodate 4 players in a 2v2 style. Each team has a person who macros and one who micros. The person who micros chooses terran, and at the beginning of the game kills one SCV, loads the remaining five into the CC and floats off to the corner of the map. He then proceeds to micro for the other player after sharing control.

Game starts to become really exciting when we can see early reapers which hard insanely hard to kill, muta micro, drops everywhere while the macro of both teams are kept at full blast. Of course the macro player can contribute to some microing as well but with the combined force of two players playing a race, we usually have intense games with constant 300 APM on both sides.

This week's Funday

We are going to have a TL.Attack style event, and 1st up we are going to have nGenBenji!
So come along and join up as everyone has a chance to take down this Casting Zerg player.
How we will be doing this is simple, Benji, being the pro player he is gets a disadvantage againt his players, depending on their league placement, here is how it is set out at the moment.

If the challenger is:
Bronze:
- No queens allowed
- Benji is only allowed to leave his base via Overlord drops
- Overlords cannot be upgraded for speed
- The only detection allowed is that from a Spore Crawler
- Benji must create 2 of each tech structure before he can begin upgrades or producing units.

Silver:
- No queens allowed
- Benji is only allowed to leave his base via Overlord drops
- The only detection allowed is that from a Spore Crawler
- Benji must create 2 of each tech structure before he can begin upgrades or producing units.

Gold:
- Benji is only allowed to leave his base via Nydus Networks
- Benji is only allowed to inject larvae when he successfully contaminates an opponent's structure
- Benji must create 2 of each tech structure before he can begin upgrades or producing units.

Platnium:
- Benji can only move on Creep
- No Hive
- Benji is only allowed to inject larvae when he successfully contaminates an opponent's structure

Diamond:
- No Hive
- Banelings are only allowed to kill units while burrowed

Masters and above:
- Just standard play

Not only will Benji be limited to these rules, he will also be distracted by myself while talking over Skype!
Fun ensues!
