The sc2sea GPD is a 8 player, double elimination tournament.

One Wildcard will be announced each day till we have the full 8 player lineup.
Any spots available will be open to wildcards. Regular participants, players who have done well consistently despite not making it to the Semi-finals etc or by other reason as determined by the admins, may be considered to be invited as wildcards.
All spots must be taken.

For Variety and to add some element of Surprise, the prize pool will be different for each GPD Cup.
For this GPD Cup :
1st : $25
2nd : $15
3rd : $10
Random participant from 4th - 8th picked : $5
In addition, the winner will be awarded the

Format :
All games in the upper brackets BO3.
Lower bracket games are BO1 until semi finals for lower brackets.
Finalists have the option to play 1 set of bo3 or the complete 2 sets of bo3.
(To be agreed before start of finals)
Maps may not be repeated in the same series.

We have noticed that players have been clinching top spots in all 4 GPD Opens. Since Lazyboy regretfully is unable to make it, it is only fitting that we find another to take his spot. After careful considerations and secret votings by the admins we have...

With the GProtossD Cup so heavily swayed, it's great to have the opportunity to raise the flag. With three of the Protoss being players I have played and ez'd before, it should make for fun and interesting maps. (Yeah, you Enak, Ez mode). I think Ravenflames will be the guy to beat.

Great tournament. It was sad to see BSG die the way it did, but the continuation of GPD makes up for it. Nem works so hard!

I'm greatly honored to be chosen for such a task and will try my best to dominate my opponents with pure ownage with skillz I've received in training from my prince volka (Who totally didn't write this).Thanks to a particular "friend" of mine, I have been encouraged to pursue my goal of getting into diamond skill bracket before the deadline of the 13th of December (volkas birthday). Anyway.

A SHAKEUP!! Spook announced that he can't make it! An emergency discussion amongst admins narrowed down to 2 players to keep the fire going. Despite the option to best each other, one decided the other deserved the spot more.

Thank you all for participanting and supporting the GPD Cup.
Enak knocks Rendorian to the lower brackets and we see Rendorian fighting all the way in the lower brackets to beat Enak in the finals. Ravenflames, favoured to win, fell to Enak's strong PvP.

Good games and well done everyone. Special mention goes to Blue whom we saw the supporters rooting for him as they saw him grow from game to game on stream. It was even speculated that he would be the one to beat all the players and get to the finals.

Also congrats to Comet for winning the Random Player Participation Prize.
He has however, contributed his winnings towards donating to sc2sea. This will be done when I reach a pool of at least $20 (as the minimum amount to donate is $20).
Unless someone wants a name change opportunity (please pm me and explain why u deserve it)

There is no GPD open next week. We will resume first Sunday in July for another 4 GPD Opens to seek new heroes. Until then, happy laddering!!
