For public transport from Airport to the venue (The edge, Stanley Street, South Bank)There are busses, I think that will take you to South East Busway in South Bank, on Grey Street, then its just a short walk to 'The Edge'

Or take a train from the Airport, the Brisbane Airtrain goes straight to Southbank. This trip takes a minimum of 35mins and trains leave every 30mins. So give yourself at least 1-1.5 hours to get from the Airport to the venue and you *should* be fine.
Train prices are around $21.70

Or take the train to South Brisbane (basically just as close to the venue as Southbank station) it'll be a touch quicker and adult fare prices are a bit less at $16.50.

Yup, I can confirm these stops are fine. There will be a tiny bit of a walk to the venue. Don't think its over a km, but just a heads up in case any of you are carrying anything super heavy...like a razer black widow keyboard or something rofl

EDIT: City cat is also a good option if you're coming from somewhere along the river (including the stop at Eagle St if you're down that end of the CBD). Just a quick stroll across the bridge from North Quay

Hey man it is literally that easy to catch a trian and your in the heart of brisbane in no time. if you need a hand with anything im more then happy to help directions wise.

Its like catching the citybus from Tullamarine airport in Melbourne to the city its the easiest and probs the cheapest way of transport.

As for helping out i am willing to help any way possible but i work friday and i work monday so sadly it can only be on the days of the event.

Just reiterating as the event approaches;

ACL is super keen on as many hands as possible to set up and pack down. Not gonna rant and play them heart strings and blah blah we're all volunteers etc just be a good bloke / shiela and make life easier for everyone.

I know domo and friends are coming in the afternoon to help, if anyone from this community would like to come down on Friday morning to help out that would be a massive help. I'm arriving in the afternoon to help out as well, and if we're out of there at a decent hour I'll shout the overage people a drink and the underage people ... I'll get you a ... bigmac or something.

SAME DEAL for packing down. Also a HUGE help when people help out so everyone isn't there till 2am rolling cables and packing trucks.

Few additional pieces of information for you all.

Schedule has been added to OP (spoiler under "Dates & Schedule).

Pros in the top 16 will need to be at the venue and checked in no later than 11am. Any player arriving past this time who has not communicated to me prior an arrival time and been given clearance will risk losing maps pending if their set is up (I will of course try to avoid this where possible). Due to a reduced open bracket to previous events I imagine group stage will start relatively early in the day.

Open Bracket registrations will be open until 10:15am as per the schedule. Any registrations who have not paid their entry fee by 10:15am will not be included in the bracket. In the case a pro does not pay for their position by 11am, they will forfeit their spot and an additional player from the open bracket will place into groups.

The open bracket and group stage will all be best-of-three matches. Total open bracket signups will determine whether a single double elimination or multiple smaller double elimination brackets will occur. This will be communicated in the morning briefing. The championship bracket best-ofs will be discussed with the qualified players when group stage concludes. The decision on the best-ofs be they all best-of-three or best-of-three into best-of-five/seven will be based on time left in the tournament and player preference.
