Hey guys, my name is Tony "FeDe" Birch, I am a 23 year old who enjoys plaing starcraft 2 in his spare time and trying to learn and improve, I do this live to air for everyone to see at my lovely twitch stream www.twitch.tv/fedestarcraft.
Anyways enough about me, I am here today to introduce my new clan/team, I say clan/team because my aim is to have a what I would like to call a small family of like minded individuals, specifically an A team for tournaments and then a B team for different range of bsg, pd and m/gm based clan wars.
So what I would like to offer first is, the clan side of Faith Rising eSports is looking to fill its roster with a mix of b-gm level players with a cap on races (6 players per race). This clan side will predominately be for clan wars and sparring and improving and 1 day joining the A team or perhaps an academy team elsewhere or a well established team.
Secondly I would like to offer 5 spots total for what will be an "A" team. This will be a range of races and I have my eyes on a few people specifically.
What I can and will offer to the TEAM:
Tournament entry fees on and off-line (lan tournies and online tournies)
If required within the state of a lan event travel expenses (taxi/bus/train)
Also if you stream, overlays are being worked on as well as team shirts
If needed/required coaching/mentoring with top level players
What I expect from players wanting to join the TEAM:
Attend as many events as possible, obvious work and studies come first
Dedication to perform your best
Now back to the fun stuff, to apply please use this format:
Player name:
League:
Race:
Team/Clan:
Location: (eg brisbane, melbourne)
Avg hours per week spent on sc2:
What can you offer back to the team:
Please submit these to me in a pm on sc2 and I will contact you shortly after.
I appreciate your time and support.

All from my own pocket good sir, it helps when my job pays so well. I can't ever be as good to join a team as a player, but I think opening the new avenue of finding a small group of what I deem suitable up and coming players and investing time money and effort into growing them I think that will be a good enough contribution to the scene.

See you out in them clanwars and stuff soon.
I wish anyone who applies here a good time.

I finally decided to be Terran after a while...and damn it feels good.

Reason: didn't quite sound the way i wanted it to sound
Sure it is an extra three letters on top of the ToR tags. But I beg to differ, i've already had people come up to me asking if this was associated with ToR.
Yeah I'm the same with the ToR people whenever I see your clan tag I read it as ToR ise because I'm so used to ToR. Apart from that things look good just make sure you manage your money well. Good luck!
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Yeah I'd change the tag to be honest, too similar to ToR.. and imo it doesn't really go that well with your team's name. FR sounds most reasonable.
Also you really should think about costs and stuff thoroughly; i.e. running costs in the long run and costs of things on your personal end, cos those costs don't stay the same and will most likely just go up with the way things are these days.
Otherwise, good luck. If you quit again then that means you weren't really ready for this sort of thing. I hope that doesn't happen.

Q_Q'd.
I have to agree with everyone else here, why not just have your tag Faith or something? But ultimately your decision anyway.
in terms of what people say in costs, they are correct, but if you can afford to, do it. I have been for the past year and honestly I couldn't be happier. Sometimes its taxing but if your team understands your situation, you should be fine glglgl

Heh sorry but my first thought wasnt hadn't you decided to quit sc... then just quit sc2sea.
As some one who is very skeptical with when teams blindly offer to pay for EVERYTHING with out having had enough experience managing things before, that sort of behavior (of saying things on a whim and not sticking to it) isn't a great indication to me.
Also I honestly hope you do change the game tag if for no other reason then showing ToR the respect that they deserve. There cant be any real debate that ToR and ToRise are very very similar. And as ToR is one of the biggest and longest lasting clans (actully probably THE biggest and longest clan) then take a tag that people will connect to them isnt cool.
As people have suggested their are plenty of other options that could work, Faith, FaithR, FR, Fr ect.
Good luck with starting the new clan. But yeah personally as I said I'm skeptical with "teams" that are started like this.

I was going to leave sc2 but the people who were harassing me had found my new channel as it was posted without me wanting it to be, so at that stage there was no sense leaving.

I havent offered to pay for everything, travel expenses within states isnt really that big neither are most tournament entries fees.

For the 800th time, the tag wasnt listed in the OP as it was never the intended tag for the clan, SouL kindly posted the clan tag from the #dedication thread, without first messaging me, if I had wanted a clan tag for the clan, I would have posted one in the original chat myself.

Be as skeptical as you like, I'm just trying to put together some like minded individuals who want to improve, however with the current teams and the way I am perceived within the community I don't feel as if people would allow me to join nor "fit in" if I did attempt to join them, so apologies on behalf of your skeptical nature.

I suggest you ask an admin to close it, rethink your clan tag and start again. Right now the fact people think your clan tag is too similar to another is overshadowing you recruiting players and showing what you have to offer!
I also think you might want to reconsider the tag FeDe. My initial thought was it was part of ToR, such as a new academy. And it doesn't match your name as well.
People will be very sceptical of any individual claiming to fund a new team solely on their own.
Perhaps one way to prove yourself, and attract players could be to host a tournament? $50, $100 or something.
Just don't use Tags or names that are similar or very similar to existing clans/teams.
People will mistaken your team is affiliated with the clans/teams of the similar name. I can only guess, that ToR people will be annoyed to continually deny they are associated/affiliated with Faith Rising (when asked or referenced). Worse case if your members BMs alot, cause tension, etc... they probable will blame TOR (because of the Similarities of Name - its already shown in past post/message in this thread they though Faith Rising Tag was related to ToR, which is unfair to ToR). If this does happen, it might cause conflict between Faith Rising and ToR, It won't end well (as you can imagine). So i suggest you change it now, while the Faith Rising team is new (it will be much harder to change when your team is more settled).
As a new team you don't want you team to be associated with another team, when this is a completely new team/clan. It will cause confusion.
I suggest you rethink your Clan Tag.
Some SuggestIon:
> FR = Faith Rising (sometime keep it simply is always good, for example Evil Genuses = EG)
> FARE = Faith Rising eSport
> FAIR = Faith Rising eSport
> FRE = Faith Rising eSport
> FAITH = Faith Rising
> RISING = Faith Rising
> FAST = Faith Rising eSport
> FRISING = Faith Rising
> Also what others here have suggested as well.
I prefer "FR" or "Faith" (something short).
Some Name Changes:
> FOR = Faith On Rising
> FOR = Faith Of Rising
> FORE = Faith On Rising eSports
> FORE = Faith Of Rising eSports
> FAR = Faith atRising
> FAR = Faith atRising
> FARE = Faith atRising eSports
> FARE = Faith at Rising eSports
> ROF = Rise Of Faith
> ROFE = Rise Of Faith eSport
Sorry if my suggestions are bad, i'm not that creative...lol
Good Luck

I agree with everyone in regards to changing the tag. My first thought was that it was an academy for ToR as it's the same tag with some extra letters (Similar to SLCN and SLCNA as well as fray and fraya).
Tags aside, best of luck with your team! It definitely sounds like it's something you can make work if you're dedicated and it sounds like a great opportunity for the players - I just hope we don't see another turnaround and you've quit SC2 again in a couple of days.
The tag was just there, the name is stciking, I just needed a tag at the time and place, I never actually made the tag official for the team/clan hence why it wasnt listed in the OP, i wanted to talk to members within the team on some ideas I had previously.
Also one of the main reasons behind starting this clan/team is I want to invest my own time and money into helping e-sports, I had tried to apply to a few different teams as a content producer, via my twitch stream and youtube content, however i hadnt heard anything good back from them.
Also my management experience, I have a Diploma in Business Management, so I understand a fair bit in terms of managing, however I am aware that eSports management is a bit different. Also when people are being concerned with monetary benefits of joining this particular team, if something ever went wrong, I would be upfront and honest.
Honestly I would have prefered to invest my time and effort into an already established team, but that wasnt to work, so here I am trying to give it a go.

Yeah...thanks for making the tag clear for us now...Just take what we say here in consideration (you don't have to, but it'll be good if you did), when you decide on your official clan tag. So in that case, i guess we can't wait to see the new official tag for Faith Rising when you release it

Good to hear, as long as you clear and upfront with details to any concerning parties. Can't hurt to give it ago!

Yeah if it goes ahead, don't think my reputation as of late will make this happen, in terms of the team side.
Would you guys like me to rebuild my bname in a respectable way before posting more information about this, or leave this offer open, I am committed to eSports as a whole either way, I would just like to have the team I stand for and the players within it respected.

This could be a great opportunity for those currently not on established teams, or for players looking to step it up to the next level! You've really got nothing to lose by applying. I'm sure FeDe will take the community feedback on board, and do his best going forward.

Reputation can be built from ground up. Just don't do anything negative that might effect your reputation, and you be fine. Since Faith Rising is new, like anything new first impression counts (so make it a good positive one).
Sure since you started the team, you should rebuild your bname in a respectable way, before posting more info. Like a clean slate and show you are more serious in building the Faith Rising Team for eSports.
It ill be alot of work to build a Team Up from scratch, it really needs commitment to kick start the team. Not questioning your commitment, but just stating it will not an easy road!

**** the haters, FeDe. Make the team what you want it to be. All the big orgs in Australia (x5, fray, Immunity, etc) all started off as either small CS or Battlefield clans and grew from there. If you put in the effort you'll make a team out of anything. It just takes work, are you prepared for that?
Good luck mate, dudes settle down and give the guy a chance.
EDIT:
These pun jokes, they are hurting my SouL. Like a Raven picking away at my happiness AurA. You guys need to stop the Vortex of torment before I fede away.
So with the announcement of Faith Rising eSports, I received a lot of messages mainly regarding the need to change of a tag that was never announced, also received hate for the post as well, but that was all to to be expected as some people like to create drama, anyway onto the announcement, with the amount of players submitting their requests to join (0) I have chosen to not continue with Faith Rising eSports, I will however creating content, this will include developments vids, vlogs as well as stream highlights and keeping myself to a maintained stream schedule.
Again I thank everyone for their support and I appreciate the constructive criticism as well as the hate that I received, without hate there is no love
Edited: I will be using the stream overlays my friend made for me though because they are sick

Just wanna say it took me 4 months of hard work to get Ecko Esports anywhere, you have to give it time, work on it and help it grow. Doesn't happen overnight i am afraid

You are an attention seeker. Not trying to be rude but u cant make good decisions and stick to it irl where u hve lots of time to think it out, so how will you make and execute decisions real time at a fast paced environment like starcraft? so I believe you should drop your goal of trying to get diamond. It will never happen...
Here's the sequence of events to prove what i say is true:
1. fede decides to quit sc2
2. fede comes back with a heavy budget claiming to sponsor professional gamers for their tripa and tournaments. Also starts a recruitment drive in full swing.
3. Fede uses the name 'faith rising' for his clan but picks ToRise as the code which obviously clashes with ToR, even a 1 month old can take a guess on that.
4. Fede decides to host fede open and not faith rising open obviously coz faith rising open wouldnt have his name in it. Offers a big amt of 100usd for it.
5. Fede comes back saying he has decided to drop the idea of the clan due to lack of support and 'hate'
6. please be tuned in for more drama on this section. Fede will not put u down.

Umm don't ever tell people they cant achieve their goals that is being being rude, I will be polite as I can here, so here goes.
1. I was going to leave sc2sea because of harrassment spanning 8months from members within your clan
2. "Heavy budget" travel expenses and tournament entry fees, thats not that much money LOL so not sure what you consider "heavy budget"
3. I had never announced a clan tag for the clan, your clan leader just happened to post that one.
4. I made a tournament because I want to help people within eSports and its $100 AUD for total prize pool, again not that much money
5. When you get spammed with 50+ messages of people swearing at you, I think you'd understand
6. If anything you are trying to cause drama
"drama" of course mate, please enjoy your stay within Axis, and please remain on the bandwagon.
To everyone else, The team idea was dropped as I didn't want to invest time and effort into a team when the current amount of teams could require that help, so my actual plan is to join a current team produce content and chill out and learn more about the management side of running sc2 teams.
To be honest producing content was always the goal I don't really have enough time to dedicate enough of myself towards the game to take it any further then a hobby.
Also I do apologise if this thread to you was just "drama" was never my intention for it to be that way, but it was never my intention to have people tell me to kill myself because I "stole a tag"
