The first Hairy Bash tournament has finished! Bracket Link
Congratulations go first of all to our first Hairy Bash winner Petraeus, who took the Grand Final series all the way to an Ace match, and then into one of the longest, craziest Ace matches ever seen before. Congratulations also to PiG, who kept him on his toes for the entire series and came out in the end at 2nd place.
To round out our top 3 (and our congratulations) there is also Sage, who defeated Blysk in the 3rd place matchup. These 3 are now seeded in the Hairy Smash tournament, which takes place at the end of the year.
For my first tournament I think everything went very smoothly, and I hope that everyone had a good time. The only wrinkle I feel was the handling of the submission of the replays, which did cause some disruption to the progression of the tournament. For future Hairy Bash's we will continue to have the system where replays should be submitted in between game series, however I will do my very best to make sure that the submitting of the replays is as straightforward as possible, and that it does not interfere with the flow of the games.
Anyways thanks again to all those who participated... the next Hairy Bash will be scheduled for the first week or so of April (may be moved slightly to avoid clashes with other tournaments) and I will put out the sign-up thread about a week before the start date.
Last but definitely not least, I will be casting all the games from the Quarter Finals onwards of this Hairy Bash tournament, with the first game scheduled to be up tomorrow afternoon, and 1 game every day from then on. My youtube channel is here. Feel free also to enjoy the Daily Master casts that are currently up there.
Once again... thanks to everyone who participated, and a very special thanks also to Eddie for his support and guidance with setting up this tournament. Laters all!
