With so much talent filling one stage, this will be a spectacle which you don't want to miss!

Sounds awesome. I'm not familiar with Richmond, what's the venue like?
It is a new venue, and will be licensed on the night. There will be limited tickets available to the live event, but we are also looking at running a BarCraft for the event as well depending on numbers.
I have been asked if this is open to all SEA players and I can confirm that all SEA players are welcome to enter. The only caveat is that if you make it to the Grand Final, you will be required to travel to Melbourne to play the Grand Final at Game On! 2014 on [s]February 22nd[/s] March 8th 2014.
I am also happy to announce that GO!`14 will be an official SCS tournament with points awarded for the 2014 season.
Sounds awesome. I'm not familiar with Richmond, what's the venue like?
It's a really good location. Richmond station is just outside of the city and the venue is just a few blocks away. Super accessible. And the Precinct Hotel across the street is really nice, used to go there for drinks after work every Friday.

Will the tickets be available far enough in advance for people who might consider travelling down to organise that?
Spectator tickets for the event will available this weekend (14th December 2013). Player/Team registration will also be available this weekend.
Top two players/teams (Grand Finalists) from each game (SC2 Dota LoL) qualifier will be required to attend the event. If for some reason they cannot attend the third placed player/team will be invited to attend.
GAME ON! 2014′s mission is to be a celebration of the community, the players, eSports, and everything in between… A true celebration of gaming.
The idea is to regularly showcase the best players, casters, personalities, game developers, and the amazing gaming community of Australia and New Zealand. An event to show the world what us Aussies, and those from over the Pond, can do.
As time moved on throughout the development phase of this event, it became clear that the support that we had gathered for the event, from the industry, sponsors and the community, just wasn’t enough to deliver an event of the standards which are now expected around the world. And you, the community, doesn’t deserve any less.
In looking at our expected financial losses, in the expected format that we wanted to run the event, we realised that this would have been too great to bare just between the two of us. So, regrettably, GAME ON! 2014 in its current state, is being cancelled.
It’s now time for the two of us to go back to the drawing board, to continue to put our spare time into bringing bigger and better events to Australia and New Zealand. We are truly determined to make a difference and see this amazing industry grow to its full potential.
Last but not least, we would like to send out a massive thank you to all of the organisers, friends, family and our fans that were on board for the event and were as excited as us to see it happen. To those of you that we let down, we promise to make it up to you.
We will be back, sooner rather than later, with something truly awesome and deserving of all of you.
Game On, Australia.
Much Love,
Synthetic and rezyn8.
Please note: Refunds for all pre-paid tickets and tournament entry will be completed by the 31st of January. If you have any questions or issues, please contact us via hello@go-2014.com.
Sorry to hear about the cancellation. However Silicon Sports have helped support many great SEA SC2 projects, as well as their own initiatives, so it's understandable you want to maintain that level of excellence. You've earned a lot of respect and faith from this community, so thanks for all your efforts, and i can't wait to see what you do next! #siliconsports2014
