Tough group for piggy, with his less than favourite match up throwing some randomness to the group.. Lucky is strong but I feel piggy should be confident in making it to the next round!..
DreamHack starts at 4pm Singapore, 6pm AEST and 8pm NZ time tomorrow!
As PiG's group is in the first 3 hr block we can potentially catch his games at a decent time
In addition, Duckville has been announced as one of the official side streams for the event! Congrats!

YAY Go PiG, i can watch Dreamhack all weekend and all monday
Duckville what a legend he better stream all of PiG's games
Hey guys thanks for the support! Ive been practicing the last few days in Inferno, the biggest net cafe in the world! EU ladder is definitely a step up from NA but is hugely lacking terrans and has a crazy number of good toss players. Been having sick games with the top guys over here and am the 2nd highest zerg so looking fwd to putting on a good show with this 10ms!
Swedens really nice and Im excited to get on a train to jonkoping in a few hours before I start playing tomorrow. Lucky has beastly ZvZ despite being underwhelming in other matchups at times so he will be a good challenge to start off the tournament!
PiG is actually going to be on the main stream as the first cab off the rank! After that I've got his next 2 matches - and as you can see, I've got a few extra names that might take your fancy after that Hopefully some of you who can stay up/switch sleeping schedule can join me.
That group is pretty good for PiG IMO.. It's harder, but for a round 2 group it's still not as bad as others..
Slivko will be tough but pig can do it! Gogo PiG FIGHTING!!~
no real surprises on day 1 except Bunny not making it through.
Pig got a pretty good group and should make it to the next group phase along with slivko.
Also if you want to check what time the games starts just look them up on liquidpedia as it now has a timer, so saves you the trouble of working out the different time zones.
gogogo Pig
And so ends PiG's incredible run at DreamHack Summer! He has played his heart out the past two days!
Recap: It all started with that first set. Beating FXO.Lucky allowed him to come first in his group, which placed him well for the Group Stage #2. Once there he took out slivko, Cytoplasm and PoYo to once again advance first from his group to Stage #3.
As luck would have it he was placed in a group with Life. No worries. If he could beat StarNan and ToD he would have been through. So he took down StarNan 2-0 and faced ToD.
After a series of pauses, restarts due to map error (very comical, see this http://oi41.tinypic.com/2rd7t40.jpg) and one computer change the matches got under way. The first game was over pretty quick. Cannon rush beat hatch first. In the second game they played a long, intense and back-and-forth macro game where PiG came out on top. The last game looked to be in the bag for PiG but ToD's Warp Prism and DT harass was highly effective and PiG (though he had his chances) could not claw his way back.
It was at this stage that everyone started to do some math. How could PiG get through to the next stage? The major consensus was that he had to either 1) defeat Life or 2) StarNan had to defeat ToD and he had to take a game off Life.
And so began his games against the greatest Zerg on this planet right now. In the first game PiG attempted to go earlier Roaches but Life shut it down very well. In game two, PiG and Life warred with Roaches again. Life seemed to be on top when he took out PiG's third, only for PiG to come back with 1-1 Roaches against Life's 1-0 to take the game. At this point all the Aussies and SEA-tizens in chat were going insane - some from sleep exhaustion. Unfortunately (for PiG) Life showed why he is the number one favourite to win DreamHack Summer by taking the third game decisively with a Roach Bane timing.
Some fans went over to Axeltoss' stream to cheer on StarNan. ToD took it out 2-0 however which ended PiG's run here at DreamHack.
Could PiG have made it through? Judging by the games, definitely. He had his chances. His opponents however got the better of him today. He should be proud of himself for his best international showing to date and also for the quality of his play throughout. I know the whole SEA region is behind him.
Keep an eye out for PiG, there's plenty more of him to come!
EDIT: I would like to thank Duckville for doing such an amazing job with his casting. He made sure we got coverage of all of PiG's games, even when he could have casted better matches than, say, PiG vs i Eat Puppies! Big thumbs up to the guy
Once I get a full sleep, some coffee and stuff I'll be doing a bit of a vlog on my experience casting. Unfortunately though, this morning (just after finishing casting PiG vs Life...) a guy came to put in a new fence, so I've had basically no sleep thanks to his god damn nailgun and saw and other crap. Anyway, in short thanks for watching the stream guys
I hope life goes on to win this now. Can then say Pig went down to the champ. Either way Pig... you have proven yourself to be LEGEN (wait for it) DARY!!!!
