In regards to SEA or NA, have it on SEA, but make it known that if 2 players agree to play their match on NA, then that is allowed. If a player wants to play on sea, and a player wants to play on NA, have it on SEA (imo). You could also do something like play 1 map each on selected region, starting on SEA

We will do this.

Although I understand and would agree from a OCD point the reason it is the way it is, is because of how it all works in the back end of the system and it being easier to manage/find and admin pages and results.
I can have a conversation with the team but just wanted to let you know the reasoning. Hopefully putting the season in brackets will be less confusing as the seasons are just another way of bunching up certain online rounds and LANs together.
Group selection processes will be made clear before the online round at the request of Fenner and others.
The ACL site has been experiencing a lot of traffic as of late and has been known to crash from time to time so please be patient when trying to register!
Also remember this is one of two online rounds for Season 2.
In regards to confirming the dates of ACL Melbourne and its location I cannot disclose as of yet but will post on SC2SEA as soon as it is made public.
I can confirm the format of group/open bracket selections has been finalised.
For at least this season both top 16 seeding and the 8 open bracket seeds will and have been preselected. In other words, there will be no choosing for either top 16 or open bracket with it looking something like this:
Group A
1st
8th
12th
13th
Group B
2nd
5th
11th
15th
etc.
Open bracket will occur the same in that 1st seed may go into group A while seed 5 may go into group B. The seeds will not be revealed until after both online rounds for Top 16 and after open bracket concludes as to ensure players don't manipulate the brackets to get into the group they want.
Moving forward we will look at shifting to player choices but it is not a priority right now - we just want to have a objective and transparent system at the moment.
I guess it doesn't really matter what they're seeded, but will players from open bracket just be seeded 17th-24th and slotted in? Only reason I ask is some people might advocate that the winner of the open bracket should be seeded higher than joe shmoe who finished 15th overall from the two qualifiers. In any case, transparency is always a good thing

No, Joe Schmoe played the qualifiers and shouldn't be penalised because he is Joe Schmoe. The guys in the open bracket should have played the qualifiers if they wanted a higher seed. In a perfect world, the best 16 players make it into groups and the others that come through the open bracket are the Joe Schmoe up-coming players. Have to be objective and set clear seeding rather than saying... Well 16th seed in groups isn't as good as sikkunt that won open bracket.. sikkunt should have played the fkn qualifiers if they wanted a better seed.
It doesn't matter in this case as the top 8 open brackets will feed equally among the four groups and because of the way pool play works in that you play each of your 5 opponents it doesn't matter if you seed them 1st or 24th - they still end up playing the same people.
Open Bracket seeds would take 17th - 24th however if there came a need to split.
Reminder ACL Melbourne - Online Round 3 begins tomorrow at 11:30AM AEST SHARP. At some point before 11:30AM tomorrow please log onto SEA and join the group "Australian Cyber League" as this will be where we will run this and future tournaments through. If you have any issues doing so PM me in game and I will invite you (Baldie.410).
Brackets are finalised and will remain hidden until the start of the event.
