Well this thread is going to turn into a shitfest pretty fast.

I've used the R.A.T. 7/9 and G9X and would recommend both.

Some people like razer mice, I don't and think they are unreliable. Go to a store and try some out.

Yea these sorts of threads your only gonna get the opinions of people who have only used them, and/or use them already. I use razer, but im thinking of changing for same reasons as tazerenix.

Personally Ive heard good things about Tt gear, razer ive had good experience assuming the gear i get isnt faulty (my mouse USB cable is atm )

Try peoples mice out, go for feel

Personally I use the Steelseries Sensei. Fantastic mouse, only a few complaints about it, mostly due to their lack of support for Mac. Love how customisable it is. 8.5/10 Would strongly recommend.

You should be able to download the drivers from the razer site without using Synapse but it takes some google searching. if you use :razerstore.com in your search string the results from razer should come up first. Totally agree snapse is only good if you want to use your configuration from multiple locations all with internet connections, the worst part is it restarts your computer with no warning after it updates itself and there is no way to disable it from doing so

Gotta try some though, what suits one person won't necessarily suit another!

I was tossing up between the Theron and the DeathAdder, super happy with the Theron (♥♥♥♥♥) but I'd still be interested to have a proper go of a DeathAdder at some point to see how they compare!

EDIT: also i find threads like these are silly, we want the opinion of the best players, but they all have gear sponsors, so they arent gonna say a different gear maker is better

It was a decent mouse for a few years when I had mine. Recently started acting up though, and I decided to try the SteelSeries Sensei Raw. Lighter, similar size, and glides a lot smoother than the deathadder. I think it's a pretty big upgrade.

There are so many variables that just going for someone else's favourite mouse with no point of reference is a bad idea, though.

I've had a Logitech G9 for 5-6 years now and it's still going strong. I can't really recommend anything else, as the build quality on this thing has lasted so long. It's comfy, came with 2 grips (can be used without a grip), weight system, programmable DPI that can be changed on the fly, blah blah blah.

You probably won't get a direct answer here, your best bet is to try some mice out.

i used to use the Logitech G5 mouse which was really good but after using it for about 5 years i felt like a change so i got a death adder which was also really good but right now im using a steelseries xai (same shape/design as sensei i believe) which is also good. i don't find much difference in how each of them felt and they are all good mice (none of them broke btw).

i think it really comes down to the mouse fitting your hand size, pro players usually end up changing their gear when joining a new team/sponsor and it takes a little getting used to but they aren't better or worse because of it.

You know man there's different mice and stuff man, but it all comes down to personal preference man.

If you can get down to a lan and try out other peoples gear that would be rad. <-My main point
Other people will be pluggin their stuff you know, reppin their hood n sponsobut you just gotta be aware of bias, of course they are gonna plug their hardware sponsors :P

Just factor in size, weight and what grip you are using cause it's different for everyone. I've spent a lot of time using the Razer DeathAdder, Logitech G1, Steelseries Kinzu, Steelseries Sensei, Razer Abyssus, Razer Salmosa, Razer Salmosa Progamer Asia Edition (it's tiny), Razer Mamba with cord/without it, Logitech G9x, Razer StarCraft® II Spectre Gaming Mouse and I'm still not sure what I wanna use.

Try not to concern yourself too much about the price of the gear that you are going to buy because if you put it in perspective, if you are an active personalcomputermobiletron user then you will get a lot of use out of a mouse.

But you know that's just my unbiased opinion man, you can do whatever you want with your life.

Here's a mouse comparison chart if you wanna check out sizes and weights of some, it may be slightly outdated though and missing some newer stuff.

Steelseries Kana I highly recommend. Costs about 60 bucks and is probably the best priced mouse there is. I've been using it since the start of the year and things are going very well with it, no issues at all.

But that's a personal opinion, the others are recommending other mice here, and the Sensei is something I can vouch for as I have used a friend's one previously and it is indeed a good mouse; it was just too big for the size of my hand so I use the Kana instead.

grip under the kana isn't great imo, too rough.

I'm thinking of buying that mouse since the size was almost perfect with the deathadder

Hmm, your hand might be slightly too large for it.

You can adjust the palm rest pretty significantly though. When I used it I had it on the smallest setting and it was about the right fit for my hand, which is a bit smaller than yours.

yes - decent 'gaming' gear does alot to help!.. especially the mouse.

Windows Sidewinder. Cheap as crap and is actually REALLY solid. Used it for like 3 years and it cost me 20 dollars.
But most people like brands and so on. So I would say try them all out if possible.
I personally use a Razer Deathadder and love it to bits. However I've also heard really good things about Logitech G1 and Steelseries Sensei.

I don't understand why people say Razer's goods suck mine hasn't spoilt in a long time lol. I don't know if most of your opinions are influenced by people complaining that their products are bad. Perhaps it was just a batch of output that was faulty, ever since then nothing else is faulty already.

I like the Razer Abyssus a lot, since it's ambidextrous. Planning to upgrade to a Razer Taipan soon, it looks quite slick also it's green.. once I get my Blackwiidow Ultimate 2013 everything for my gear will be green o.o

I think the most important thing is that it feels right in your hand, so if you can try a few out that's a good idea. Personally I've been using a Logitech G5/G500 for 5 years now and have no complaints; and the mx518/G400 are a cheaper option that's identical other than having an optical sensor, which actually makes very little difference in reality.

My suggestion for you is to try the mouse out for yourself, only then will you know if it suits you. No point in buying a mouse that's too big, too small, too heavy, or too light.

My Razer Deathadder has been working pretty well, loving it so far. ^_^

I use the Steelseries Sensei. The reason is mostly because I can fine tune how the results of the sensor are calculated (adjusting prediction, acceleration, deceleration etc). These options along with being able to set profiles for each of these fine tuned settings allowed me to create the perfect settings for FPS (I'm an ex pro Quake player and I played CS:S in CEVO-I for a bit), RTS and even just general browsing.

Personally I find the mouse comfortable even though my hands are quite small. I came from a Deathadder which is arguably one of the biggest gaming mice out there. Whilst the Deathadder certainly has the best optical sensor you can ask for, I've found that its shape can be incredibly taxing on my wrists after extended durations. However it is far cheaper than the Sensei so certainly don't overlook it.

The Theron is okay for RTS, but I still recommend the Deathadder over it.

I have had driver issues, wrist problems and mechanical faults with my MX518, G9 and G9x so I can't really recommend Logitech mice based on those problems.

If you can afford a Sensei or a Sensei[RAW] I definitely would recommend investing the money in them since they'll return all the results you will ever need. However, if you're lacking the cash and can deal with a big mouse then the Deathadder honestly can't be ignored.

I'm sure people have mentioned this in the thread already but: Honestly see if you can borrow friends' mice or feel them at the store before you buy them. Most people can adjust to sensors even if they're a heap of shit (cough Kinzu v2 cough) so it's mostly the feel of the mouse you're looking for -- especially if you're an RTS gamer.

Currently using a Sensei, was using a Razer Lachesis before that and then a Razer Krait before that.

Sensei so far so good, fantastic mouse by far, fits great for my type of grip (using the bone at the lower portion of the hand as a pivot), buttons at the side are a little annoying, after getting used to it, the mouse is a charm! A little pricey here but if you have the cash to burn why not.

Razer Deathadders are a cheaper solution and well worth the price for that quality and account for almost all grips well.

The best type of mouse is the one that suits you the best. Easiest way to check which mouse may or may not fit you best is through your grip. You can check your grip here and from there on get a better gauge on what fits you.

I personally use a "fingertip grip" with reference to the website and like i mentioned earlier. Along with the Steelseries Sensei, I think its the best for me.

Good luck with your choice! Oh and don't forget a good mouse pad!

Im using the Roccat Kova[+] and its the best mouse ive had. Ive had it for a year and it dosent show any wear n tear. Also, for the past year ive used it allmost everyday in game. But the only downside is roccat costs alot.

The second best ive had is some generic logitech mouse i had for 5+ years. So for cheapness yet reliable i'd go logitech.

To sum it up:
Roccat = German car. Costs alot, but good product with quality design. (Roccat is a german company btw)
Logitech = Japanese car. Cheap, yet will never stops running.... ever.

Also, i'd recommend avoiding razer.

That's interesting I haven't heard too much about Roccat mice, nor have I used one.
Keen to get my hands on one one day and see how it holds up against everything else I have tried!

Yeah i went out in a total limb with this mouse. It looked like it'd fit my hand nicely so i brought it. I was pleasantly surprised on how well this mouse fits RTS games. As for FPS, i cannot comment. I know people like to amp up the sensitivity for FPS but i don't like change so i keep it the same for all games (Medium sensitivity @ 1600 dpi).

Mainly depends on your size of your hand, what grip you use, and what games you play.

If you have a claw grip when you play sc2 and you don't have gigantic hands, safest bet would be a g9x (naked, so all grips, weights and even the weight tray removed if your fussy about weight)

Tons of Korean Pro's use this mouse, the ones that first come to mind are MarineKing & Jaedong.
and a few of our SEA players too mOOnGLaDe & deth.

The clicky-ness of the g9x feels soo gewd, I usually use the Steelseries range (Kana/ Kinzu / Xai) and they seem pretty dull in comparison, you don't need to put too much pressure on the g9x to make a click but it's not too sensitive. same with the scroll wheel, which is more important for fps games,

I also like the fact that once the grips get taken off, the side buttons are much harder to press, stops you from being distracted from sc2 games (since you don't use side buttons in sc2) however you can use the side buttons ezpz with a grip on.

But to be on the safe side, Miles' guide is really good, and don't be afraid to ask if you would like to try it out in store before buying it, Pretty sure you will find some shops that would let you.

I Shopped around for a very very long time and tried all microsoft, razer and logitech mice
R.A.T 7 was only mouse that fit for me but I have weird grip style and like heavy mice

You'd really need to go somewhere to try them out to make a decision because most mice are good it just comes down to what fits your grip and preferences

recommend some of the steelseries mice - sensei, kana etc. the well known ones are usually the best
possibly the razer naga if you're planning to use your control groups/camera hotkeys religiously (1-4 for army, 5-9 for hatcheries, 0 for harassment units, - and = for camera hotkeys) it's so helpful for a zerg using the 55v66v77v inject method
and most people seem to like the deathadder i've personally never tried it but i've heard its great

I did a quick review of the Tt eSports Theron a while back when it was released Australia. I still use the Theron to this day for all gaming. Its price point has been lowered a bit since as well. I have found Razer mice to be flimsy, but have not had a chance to use a Steelseries mouse as of yet.

I have been using my razer deathadder for half a year and it has been great. Its not particularly expensive compared to other gaming mouses, especially when compared to other razer mouse. Best thing about it is that it got razer synapse support. Its one of the cheapest razer products that got razer synapse. Definitely recommand deathadder.

Hi dudes. ZaToX here.

I went on a mouse rampage over the past couple of weeks to see what mouse was really the best fit for me. Ended up finding out that my trusty old KinzuV2 is what suits me. Deathadder/SENSEI where too big, ZOWIE MiCO was too small and my Kinzu was juuuuuuust right

I don't think you can really say which mouse is best for someone, it's just up to personal preference for size and shape which you can only figure out after testing all the options available.

Left over from this i'm left with 3 mice i'm trying to get rid of.
1 SteelSeries SENSEI
1 ZOWIE MiCO StarTale edition
1 ZOWIE MiCO GSL edition
if anyone is interested you check these out here http://myworld.ebay.com.au/ryan.byrn...id=p4340.l2559
