I have just created a Facebook event page and it would be great if you help me to figure out the number of spectators. The place is not so big so if there are too many people I would need to RSVP sadly. (Hopefully not)

Balancing act between taking more rego's and the tournament going too long - or keep it small and people miss out

could run groups > double elim top 16 or 8...? Dox would probably know exactly what you can squeeze into a day..

City Hunter get their events done in a day and can have up to 48 players, should talk to Chris or even just borrow the format ^_^

Players are shown.. total 36 participants and a few waiting players.. I might have to change the format. I was originally thinking of 32 people. We are running this tournament on 16 computers so it might take a long time to finish up.

Could do 6 groups with 6 people then into Double Elimination like ChadMann suggested. What do you guys think?

with 36 and 16 PC's.. why not run 8 groups of 5.. then top 2 go through to play off bracket?.. 6 into 16 doesn't roll too ez :S

It starts at 11am right?.. you should enforce everyone check-in at 10:30 or 10:45 and take that extra time to work out the brackets.. Perhaps email everyone a contact they can ring if they are running late but on the way?..

Great idea about the check-in time 10:30 sounds good, I will update that..
