Hyding Breed [Hybree] is the product of passion from two individuals. Hybree is a unique 2-man team model that consists of one high level SC2 player and one prominent caster/events manager.
Hybree’s vision is to become one the best teams in eSports. Being the best means bringing inspiration & innovation to every fan, and continually contributing to the development of eSports. Hyding Breed will not be limited to SEA, we will be exploring to the ends of the universe wherever Starcraft II is played.
We’re very excited to be able to debut with SC2SEA as our sponsor. We both grew up on SC2SEA, with Nirvana’s support we believe the sky is the limit. We will be actively pursuing other sponsors as well to solidify the foundation of Hyding Breed. One step at a time, creating a strong foundation.

I think a lot of people will be wondering what the aim of this partnership is?
Baldie: I can now represent Hybree in each casting event I do which frees me to provide a casting or event management service to literally any team or person who doesn't require exclusivity. Consider it like being a casting agent.
Reere: The partnership aims to boost our individual growth. While our personal goals differ from each other we share the first dozen or so stops of the journey. Covering each others gaps, it's simply a quicker travel to where we'd like to be in SC2, in eSports.
With the announcement of Hyding Breed, or Hybree for short, I had the chance to catch-up with the creators Brad “Baldie” Baldwin and Poche “Reere” Huang as they took some time out of their busy schedules to talk to me about this new partnership.
Thankyou both for your time. I think a lot of people will be wondering what the aim of this partnership is?
Baldie: I am currently looking at breaking into an international market and further expanding my presence and impact on the SEA community and I see this partnership as the way to do that. As hard as it was to leave Team ToR in an official capacity this partnership was enticing because it meant I would no longer be exclusively tied to a competitive team. I can now represent Hybree in each casting event I do which frees me to provide a casting or event management service to literally any team or person who doesn't require exclusivity. Consider it like being a casting agent.
Some might ask, why not just leave Team ToR and be an agent myself? Well the credibility and capabilities of having a player/caster duo has a lot more drive to potential sponsors than just a caster or just a player.
Reere: The partnership aims to boost our individual growth. While our personal goals differ from each other, we share the first dozen or so stops of the journey. Covering each other gaps, it's simply a quicker travel to where we'd like to be in SC2, in eSports.
With your new partnership in mind, have you booked any events in the near future or is that something you are looking for with more exposure from tourneys such as wT Weekly and Masters Cup?
Baldie: Masters Cup was a huge step for me. The first time I have had an audience of multiple hundreds, peaking at over 500. This is definitely somewhere I want to be more often and so I am constantly looking for opportunities. There are no "major" events I have locked in right now but I will likely be doing some casting for z33k.tv for their Team League which just started which is exciting and a great opportunity for international exposure.
I will continue to cast wT Weekly and any other tournaments where possible where I see growth potential in!
As a caster/player duo, will we be seeing content on YouTube and other platforms other than Twitch?
Reere: Definitely. As a duo it makes for creating content a lot easier as it’s easier to keep track of each other’s progress. We have plans for doing impromptu ‘talk shows’ where Baldie & I will talk about our views on current events/dramas in eSports, small casual segments to give the audience a more personal feel on what we’ve been up to.
As I will be training as a player, we also have plans to take a few of my most recent games and dissect them to share the intimate process of learning & improving. We both also have an on-going blog that we update from time to time. Baldie's blog is more on his progress & growth in eSports, while mine are more of mini-guides to share my thoughts & views on practice/training methods.
Sounds well thought out. With such a strong business plan in place, are you looking to take this partnership further and reach out for sponsorship?
Reere: Absolutely. I feel one of the main reasons why we partnered up & work very well together is that we would both give up our day-jobs if we could live solely off eSports. That is the ultimate dream. We will be actively reaching out to sponsors, while pursuing our goals as well.
Look forward to seeing both your dreams come true. Is there anything you would like add and/or any shout outs?
Reere: I'd to thank everyone on SEA & especially all those apart of SC2SEA. It's been the most passionate & tight-knit gaming community I've ever been a part of. I am Taiwanese, but I grew up on the SEA server. This will always be my home.
Thank you all for making it truly as amazing as it is today. Shout-out to Nirvana who truly takes care of all of us reaching out to our dreams on SEA; To Spartaz & all of ToR who have been nothing but supportive; and a special shout-out to ToRPeek who has been a big part of my growth as a SC2 player.
Looking forward to crossing paths with everyone in the near future!
Baldie: Echoing what Reere said the entire SEA community has been a pleasure to get to know and provide entertainment for. I will always do my best to expand SEA while making an indent in the international market. There are too many people to thank; you all know who you are! Time to let this rip!
