Hi guys I'm TNClouD from Team Nights, as you all know that we have just completed our first Friday Weekly on 7th Sept 2012 with a success, although our tournament ran a little later than the expected time due to the server on Z33k the tournament website that our tourney was running through was down so the tournament expected time 08:00pm AEST was rescheduled 15mins late. I had to reorganized the entire tournament bracket to Challonge Bracket Generator, I was glad that I remembered about that website and the hiccup did not mess with the tournament.
BUT! I would like to say that without our valuable players I would have never gotten through that so easily, all participants were great and had the best attitude towards the issue, a big thank you to the fellas from mGG they were soo helpful in keeping everyone entertained as well as comfortable with a newly set tournament like ours and made my life much easier, all players were great and thoughtful I could have not done all this with just my own hands, SEA server players created a greater bond because of this and I am soo Thankful you guys were the ones that signed up THANK YOU SOO MUCH ALL.
WELL! back to what is important for that I need to announce that our very first Team Night's Friday Weekly Champion is no other than SEA Servers very own " Prometheus "
Prometheus of course not 2012 highly visual effect movie of the year BUT a Ranked 1 Diamond Terran Player!! Prometheus was one of the very few Terran's that made it through the tough bracket of TN's Tourney, meeting in the Grand Finals with TCP's very own Eros a highly ranked Diamond Zerg Player! Maybe not with the result TCPEros wanted with the lost of 3-0 in our bo5 finals but the Talented Zerg did not give in for such a lost, a man with great Sportsmanship left with a smile on his face.
I would like to congratulate on our two particpants for making it soo far and with promise from Team Night we are granting Prometheus the $20.00 cash prize. We will continue to push forward our success of today and make the SEA community more open to the world, we wish to get more and more of your support and we will serve you all with the best of our abilities thank you everyone. Week # 02 will be held on Friday 14th Sept 2012 on Z33k we hope that the site does not go down again. New Thread will provide you the areas for comment thank you!
Special Thanks to TNFate for his great casting, you may find the Games casted on the day here - http://www.twitch.tv/fate025
and you may find the brackets to Friday Weekly # 01 here - http://challonge.com/teamnightsbsgpd
There will be an update on the poster to less down the confusion on map pools and dates was well as time so please expect further updates.
That is true but i guess the two tourney has to run on the same day due to we do not have other days to suit with the current BSG, the community would have to choose between the two tourneys which one they will consider participating.

how do you know there are not other days that suit the current BSG? maybe friday night? then it doesnt with clash anything i can think of at least, better that having it the same day and forcing people to choose

What i meant was its not suitable for us admins in this early stage to run it on a different day, from one to two weeks after the tournament starts we can get better available times for our admins to run our tournament, due to everyone having personal things to run in life atm ,we are not creating competition but if BSG participants are to follow the scheduled time of BSG we dont have a problem.
Yep my apologies to the maps because i have been working with NA for a long time now and did not realize that certain maps are not available to SEA which is very disappointing, I will officially remove Atlantis and whirlwind and re-edit the map pool, rest assured that the maps in the map pool is more than know to all players.
Hey baldie, the GSL version for most of those should be up, they are just in the arcade section. We used them in the FS Clan Tourney. Same with ESV maps (like Frigid Pass)
Hey guys do you guys know how i can get in contact with the Team Carnage guys, cos i dont want the two tournies to conflict one another, we are just starting out so we dont want to put on any constrictions to the BSG tourney.
Hopefully you can move to friday nights in the future some time? Then I can play fri sat and sun night tournaments xD xD xD. Gold is definetely the place to be kekeke
Edit: the BSG is run by asylumofsouls and asrathiel, they would be to people to speak to, just PM them.

Ah nice didn't know that thanks for letting me know! Apologies for my misguided knowledge.
Are the WCS and GSL versions any different anyway?
The best plan would probably be to switch this to Friday wouldn't it?
EDIT:
I assume most of the BSGs on sc2sea are going to still play the Weekly so the main issue here is the people who try to play both tournaments and waste admin time or smurfs who are used to being removed from the BSG weekly but will try instead to enter this tournament since you guys don't have as much practise removing them.
I get a lot of people coming to me who haven't done their admin homework suddenly asking me to change the date of the established weekly and it's pretty frustrating
Apologies for any unintended offense, I was in the middle of running a clan war while being asked about this and not thinking clearly about how to word my thoughts.

Reason: Unintended offense caused
I totally agree but we will go along with the stated date above and time and will make the changes in the second week, if participants choose to attend the original weekly then like i said no problem, its the players choice and if it does cause any inconvenience to the BSG Tournament I apologies but I will not change whats happening above in that poster.^^

Not so sure because the BSG page says its Team Carnage sponsoring with Razor or something.
Carnage & Razer sponsor the BSG Cup, which is on every 4 weeks. In addition to the regular BSG open prize, BSG Open top 4 qualify for the BSG Cup.
Both BSG Open and BSG Cup are run by Suipr & Asrathiel.
It's fantastic you want to get involved and are obviously going to a good deal of effort. I'm also really excited for the idea of a BSGPD tournament, mostly because I would have loved this when I was in silver & gold particularly - there's nothing better than playing against higher opponents. I appreciate that you've changed the day, and I really think that there is a lot of benefit in co-operating rather than competing. There are so many opportunities to cross-promote between tournaments, and to come up with creative ways to link the tournaments in some way.
Even though the date is being changed, I still feel it needs to be said - pitting tournaments against each other just hurts the people who these tournaments are actually for. Basically, to gain the SC2SEA community it's important to respect that community and its needs. It's more than OK to have multiple tournaments - that's a wonderful thing. I think it's great for the lower league competitions to have a lot of access to a lot of tournaments (while at the higher levels, maybe fewer tournaments with bigger prize pools might be better, because they bring more notoriety). There is definitely room for more than one tournament in town - just not at the same time on the same day. So anyway, I think that the right conclusion has been reached. I really look forward to competing, and hope that we get another great lasting tournament in the scene - one that last for longer than I can compete in it for sure.
I said it on stream tonight and I will repeat it - I think SEA has the strongest BSG tournament scene of any server. Additional tournaments makes it better. Forcing competition will be detrimental.

I totally agree, Im coming to this as a very cooperative organizer for BSGPD and we as Team Night are not looking for conflict, we want to allow SEA to become more active in the eSports scene as well as making a name for us and to receive more sponsorship in the future but at the same time if we're taking a step back we do not expect to be pushed around. We are here to help not to create trouble so I decided to make it easy for everyone by changing the date and day.
Im always getting to the party late >.< lol well said everyone exactly what i was thinkin. there is so kuch SEA action that we are running out of days to run everything lol.
Like all Tournaments please expect technical difficulties in the first Tourney but bare with us that in time as the Tournament grows then the process will be a breeze for everyone thank you.^^
I just wanted to share my love for this comp. The current BSG was awsome for two reasons, the first being it was fun as hell. The second being it was run so well.
If this comp can deliver on both of these it will be another great oppotunity for SEA eSports.
Good to hear you guys really welcome Our tourney, btw maverick make sure you sign yourself up for the tourney on the link provided cos we run it differently to the BSG tournaments and just to mention again that this is our first tournament so there will be mistakes and mishaps so hope every will cooperate with us and we will do our best to make it as fun as possible ^^ cheers!!!
Just wondering.... the link to the sign in page shows the tournament starting on Tue Sep 18, 13:00 EST (19d 17h away) which is like 4:00am AEST. This is what the tournament info page shows for it anyway.
Your flyer says 07.09.2012 (8:00pm AEST).... may want to update either my poor observation skills or the z33k info page?
Yep your right buddy, I was at work and was adjusting it and accidentally changed ti to the wrong time so ignore it and ill fix that now, btw just want to let you all again if you guys havnt or so read on the site link that to ignore the timer on the top cos its a NA time and its not set for us SEA to follow jsut follow the date and time written and you are all sweet. Friday 7th Septemeber 2012 08:00pm
ok guys i have fixed the time but when displayed to the public the time is shown wrong, I believe to view it correctly you need to login, iif someone can check that for me that be great cos the time is correct on my view, unless someone messed around with it.

Hey guys thank you all soo much for the support helping me making it such a fun event, I have made an update post on the front page so please refer to that for the latest information and try your best to keep this thread alive, as many more fun future events will be held for you all thank you and hope you all have a great upcoming end of year!!
I suggest that you create a new thread each week in tourname section like how the BSG, GPD and Masterscup does so Eg. TN Weekly #2
This helps players find it easier and to know when signup for next tourney is up
It also gets the discussion for each tourny sorted and there is much less of a need for bumping of the thread
And it's also alot neater
Ps: Look forward to playing in your tourny in the coming weeks
Agree with Tidal, new thread each week like the BSG / GPD etc.
Sorry I couldnt play, had kids to deal with. Congratulations to Prometheus on taking it out (and well done DronesInJail on his top 4, best placed Slug).
Great initiative was a blast participating this week in this tournament! A very nice crew to work with
Was sad that there was so many team kills, but well played to those who placed in the top 4 ^^ looking forward to becoming a regular participant (Need to get back into shape again )
