Arena Internet Cafe's previous tournaments (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5
Information
Date: Saturday, September 8, tournament will start at midday, doors should be open from ~10am
Location: Arena Internet Cafe, 264-268 Rundle Street, Adelaide SA 5000 (in between Al Fresco and Piatto)
Entry fee: $15 (spectating is free of course)
There are no league restrictions, players of any skill can join.
The tournament will be played on the South East Asian server.
Tournament format: Double Elimination, all Best of 3 (2x Bo3 for grand final, exact same as WCS)
The map pool will be: Metropolis, Daybreak, Ohana, Cloud Kingdom, Entombed Valley
Each player will veto one map from the map pool and then flip a coin/rock paper scissor/decide amongst themselves for first map choice. Loser of each game picks the next map.
Other prizes will be hardware, and possibly random giveaways, etc
Other information
Players will be allowed to bring their own equipment (mouse, mousepad, keyboard, headset etc). The computers are more than capable of running StarCraft II at it's highest settings. For those that have been before, this time we will only be using the back room.
There will be at least 20 PCs dedicated to running the tournament, players will need to report their results immediately once they are finished and they will be told to either pack up for someone else to use the PC or to stay to play another game. We are aiming for as little downtime as possible, so this is imperative to the smooth running of the tournament.

Hmm predictions pretty much a copy of bigbirds lol.
1st. Cam (gotta go with my main TA boy , Arena veteran + amazing play)
2nd. Bigbird (really strong lately and amazingly good looking).
3rd. Satu (been really strong as well).
4th. Spook (because spook)
I think we could see a upset for 3rd or 4th tho with quite a few good players attending its possible they could meet early and knock each other out I think Spook will take 4th but could possibly get 3rd if he gets a lucky run! Other players to watch for would be fight if hes been playing alot and champi as well. I think jaks been playing too much d3 xD.
yeah edge is good but satu pracs reallllllllllly hard also bigbird is good for some reason idk how he just says he is going to prac and never does mby he did

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but I'm studying cookery full time atm. The only practice Im getting atm is weekends and whatever time I can get after cleaning and cooking on weekdays. That being said, I'm still going to use as much time as possible to practice.

was it because he got someone to play his account to high gm?
Well we knew that after we saw the games he played, but no one knew before and only a few of us figured it out (about the time myself and Champi were dancing to Gangnam Style)
Was a great event and glad I finally managed to get out of bed for one! Definitely won't be the last as I had an awesome time meeting people, even if some of them had no clue who I was for most of the day... *cough* Baldie and EdgE *cough*
Also I got to introduce people to the wonders of CLOP, Haxball and Japan World Cup 3, so all in all a successful day in my eyes.
was muchos fun, thanks for putting it together marc
