I get around 70 apm, and spike to around 100+ apm in the heat of the moment. Where "heat of the moment" may be waging battles or multiple actions for research and planting new bases.
I'm a protoss bronze player, and my av. game APM goes to around 70-80; however, looking at my replays, while macroing up, it goes to around 50-60, and the times it shoots up is during intense microing, to around 70-90.
What is epm? My performance summary average says 170apm. I spread creep with 2 queens every game fanatically and rarely miss an inject and have decent unit control, however I either forget to scout a lot or simply respond to what I see stupidly. For example last night vs a turtling terran, I played ling bane Muta into ultras. Ling ultra was obliterated by hellbat mass Thor. I held him back for like 10 minutes with pure roaches after I realised ultras sucked, but eventually got steam rolled. So stupid - he was not a good player lol note to self - brood lords!
Anyways, on WoL I had around 70 as Toss and when I switched to Zerg right before I got HoTS I was around 80, but now I get around 60 T_T I think the fact that I go for really early roach allins sorta drops my APM, but even in longer games it's no higher than mid 60s >.>
well, I've started playing actually properly (bronze league properly) and not allin`ing nearly as much, and my APM has gone up to an average of 80-90 :333
Also, ZigZiglar, EPM is your effective actions per minute, so basically your APM with all the spam and pointless clicking / camera jumping etc. removed. (I believe)
