Anyways, on WoL I had around 70 as Toss and when I switched to Zerg right before I got HoTS I was around 80, but now I get around 60 T_T I think the fact that I go for really early roach allins sorta drops my APM, but even in longer games it's no higher than mid 60s >.>

Looking at this thread being revived... So used sc2gears opened up my replays... curious how much has changed since before...
My APM is around 102 and EPM 78 [computed from 168 1v1 games from the servers I seldom play teams on for more accuracy]

hi everyone i'm bronze league on sea silver on kr(prolly just cause i play kr more) i been working on trying to minimap click more and mouse scroll less and just mouse precision in general, still sitting around 95 -110 (new system) end of game average but i feel like its all useful now as i'm not spamming clicks stupidly thinking i'm pro or whatever, i try to click on individual things rather than box, smallest boxes possible and minimap the **** out of it, i also look at the minimap alot more now which helps alot too, for the swarm
I between 100-130... Not sure how to improve this :s as zerg
Start looking at your mechanics a lot more. You'll still need to internalize a lot more, usually one or two things at a time.
Look at your hotkey setup, your control groups. Are they optimal?
I used ~ for basecamera injects for years and recently ditched it for TAB as it's even closer to V and fits my hand more naturally.
I use W for idle worker, Q for patrol allows me to set up worker/ling routes quickly.
Since it's bad practice to have multiple spell casters on a hotkey as zerg (infestors with your main army, no no no!) you won't have to tab through spells, but I find this a problem off-racing, needing a separate profile generally.
Rebinding all my upgrade keys (evos/ spire etc) going ASDF (or ZXCV or QWERT, whatever makes sense to you) means I'm never moving my hand off the WASD cluster for some retarded P or O upgrade - and no the GRID setup is not optimal either as it makes upgrades on other rows weird).
With idle worker on W, I can use F1-F5 for my bases. I use space as another camera for my rally point (also my natural expansion early) which saves a lot of manual fiddling early game.
Camera hotkeys....you never want to be scrolling around the map, it's effectively 0 APM. This is why you want the highest possible mouse scroll speeds, you only ever want your screen to be moved where you need it asap, not precisely.
It did take me a long time to get used to F1-F5 but once you get used to doing worker transfers using F1-F5 it'll save you even more scrolling.
I started off using space as my main camera for a long time as I wasn't comfortable reaching for the F1 keys straight away. Course these are only examples. Don't force yourself to use suboptimal hotkeys or methods that are inefficient, look for those things that slow you down.
Anyhoo, goodluck on your road to .. SEA at least. It'll be 100 little steps you'll almost never know when you break the plateau but you will.
Hmmmm interesting.... i never thought of using the F keys before.... i would need to practice the crap out of that to get out of being use to what i am doing now.

Yep, when I was getting help from a friend once, one the main things he enforced on me that F1-5 were extremely important as Zerg, for injects and worker management.
(I previously used to assign one hatchery to a control group each :3)

You mean to set them? Yeah, I believe the key is the same as the 1-9 setting key (for me, at least, but I've tinkered with the key bindings a fair bit for camera keys and control groups)
