Eligibility

Format

A Single Elimination format bracket will be hosted on Challonge.

8 seeds will be given to players ranked highest in the OSC Rankings (up to 32nd place)

All games will be Bo3.

Map pool will be the current ladder pool. WCS veto system will be used.

Selected admins will help to reverse any wrongly reported score

Rules

Players are encouraged to pick a region / game server that will give both players below 200ms ping.

Default Preferred Game Server is AU1-S2 - Australia. Players can choose to play on another game server if both players are agreeable to.

Players who have opponents who haven't shown up 15 minutes after the tournament starts will be given the choice to walkover or wait.

Players may request for more time to show up prior to the tournament start. Be reasonable with the time you ask for though!

In the event of disconnects, players can either use "Recover Game" under the Replays section or they can replay the game. The default option is to use "Recover Game".

Race picking is allowed.

Any form of glitching / bug exploiting is not accepted. Administrators will have the discretion to disqualify the player from the tournament if caught.

If the game is paused by Player A, Player B shall not force an unpause until Player A has settled his problem.

Anyone reporting a false score / walkover before the stipulated time will be given a warning. Multiple warnings may result in suspension of FFN / OSC tournaments.

No BM at all to anyone. WCS Handbook approved!

Prizes

1st: 25 OSC points + $10 AUD
2nd: 15 OSC points
3rd/4th: 5 OSC points each
5th-8th: 2.5 OSC points each

On the topic of OSC points, here are more ways to earn OSC points in this tournament:

Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 16: 5 OSC points
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher: 2.5 OSC points
Anyone ranked 16th - 9th beats anyone ranked equal or higher than themselves: 2.5 OSC points
1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points

Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series

Friday Fun Night is a partnered tournament of the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC). The OSC is the Oceanic, South East Asian, North American and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments.

The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the 2 day minimum $5000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion! OSC World Rankings were established in December 2012.

In 2014 OSC partnered tournaments gave away $29691 combined prizepool, ($ bounties, Terran Bonus initiative, Invitationals, and LAN events were not included in this!), we had 155 completed partnered tournaments (up from 77 last year, which equates to 100% growth), and saw 358 individual players with points earned (up from 138 in 2013 = 159% growth)

GuMiho was 2014's Champion, taking out the $3500 finals series.
PiG was 2013's Champion, taking out the $2100 finals series.

You can show your support towards OSC, and help us put on events for the community for just $8 USD per month! One less chocolate bar/One less beer at the pub/a couple less songs on iTunes, etc, and the money goes towards supporting the scene It's quite common place for players/casters to have a subscription option on twitch tv (which isn't an option for us), and we feel we have much more to give back in terms of entertainment, competition and rewards. Subscribers are also another way we can potentially market ourselves to prospective sponsors, which in turn will result in further growth.
