hey guys. Soooooo, I have been playing SC2 for a fair while now. I have just recently been promoted to silver, and I am looking to get competitive. I want to join a clan, want to participate in tournaments, etc. more so for the fun then the prizes.. this isn't an LFC post, per se. more of a 'can you outline the process for me from where i am, to competing in tournaments'. I see a few tournaments on the sidebar, unsure whats recent and whats not. etc. just some tips to start up.
Play in BSG (Bronze/Silver/Gold league) tournaments. They are run on this site every saturday night (iirc).
Post in this thread (http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?t=1897) if you are looking for a clan to practice/play with. There are a few clans around with a good number of BSG players in them to practice with.
The Clans and Community section of the forums is essentially the user manual for furthering your sc2 development. It is filled with Clans looking for players and as ery moose (erasmus) mentioned, the looking for clan thread is also an invaluable asset.
Have a browse around there and take a look at the clans the SEA sever has to offer. The house clan section also has a list of all the In House clans of sc2sea and how to apply.
pretty much just do as Erasmus has said. The tournaments on the sidebar are all recent ones, both online and offline. You should play in every BSG you can, tournaments are a great experience. If you want to play in any of the open tournaments (such as wT weekly or the masters cup this saturday), you can play in those as well, but don't expect to win, play for fun, because you'll be likely to be paired against masters and grandmaster players. Even though you'll get absolutely demolished, hey, it's nice to play a few games out of the ladder.
Even the smallest donations help keep sc2sea running! All donations go towards helping our site run including our monthly server hosting fees and sc2sea sponsored community tournaments we host. Find out more here.
