Are there any clans that I could join, to help me reach the next league and overall greatly improve my play over time?

I'm only in silver, but I'd like to join a clan who has members far superior to me, is this a possibility?

If not, are there any lower league clans that I could practice with and improve my game play?

I'd like to get to Diamond within a year. That's my SC2 goal. ^-^"

yeah i think if you had experience and started playing at release then it was easy to place straight into diamond. But these days people have a vague idea of how the game works so its not so simple! Starting in Bronze or silver is totall normal at this point

Many clans you can join for BSG, best bet would be to find a few channels like TCP, ToR etc. and just hang out there.
