Hi guys,
I'm entering SMU and I'm intending to join their Cybergaming club as one of my CCAs, which I believe is called Gamers' Irregular. If you guys intend to start an inter-varsity monthly competition or something like that I can bring up the idea to them. Will be keeping a look out on this thread and you can PM me if I can help in any way as well!
hey i dont know if they are co-ordinating with nus or something but a friend from SMU told me that there are monthly challenges being organized against NUS, do you know anything about it??
I think most players come from Engine? I barely know anyone from Arts who plays :/ I know EveParachute is in Arts now but hardly plays because of hall commitments (he did take part in WCG though haha)
carrot.132 checking in. diamond terran. nus engineering science year 3.
anyway, i know nuseg is hosting some computer gaming competition soon on the 8th oct. check out www.nuseg.com
they have 4 games, dota, something, something, AND WARCRAFT 3 LOLOL. what an old old game. used to play wc3 at quite a high level last time and i signed up for the competition.
anw, shall we organise a meet together lan session in NUS?
Hi,
I guess there are quite a few people who are interested in joining a SC2 cca in NUS
Wonders if we can join the current e-society and create a new SC2 grp within it.
Anyone willing to spearhead this project?
lol anyone knows how to go about doing it?
I dont think it'll be feasible in joining the current NUS e-gaming society as their focus isn't on competitive gaming. Took part in the recent wc3 competition organised by them and it was really an eye opener lol. Think it was just me and two other dudes who are the only local participants(the rest being PRCS) there and we had to play over wireless network(lol) using our own laptop. The rest of the alienware laptops by the sponsors was used for some lame san guo card game that required 0 graphics...
Just a general feeling that it'll be hard to include sc2 into the NUS egaming society since they're PRC dominated(like only <10% local inside) and they're more focused on wc3,dota and the san guo card game :/
