From a business perspective, the region lock and name changes probably account for +15% extra revenue. Terrible for the customer but excellent for Blizzard. Don't get me wrong, I'm a lifelong blizzard fan who highly appreciates all the good stuff they do(b.net still being free for instance), but that doesn't mean I can't voice out frustrations over certain stuff which can be done better. A part of me dies every time they make a decision opting for the commercial route instead of choosing to just add value for the customer, and this has become more common over the last few years.

I mean with the price of Starcraft already being significantly higher, free name changes (at least once a season) should already be implemented!

yeah blizzard just wants more money by forcing people to buy new copys of the game.

i think they should implement a clan tag like counter strike source did
