Here are the list of invitations to ACL Sydney. Even though there are a large number of obvious participants because they live in Sydney, I need you to post in this thread confirming your attendance before I can lock in your invite. If someone declines their invite, we continue going down the list until we have 16.
I think he's reffering to how people got different points for the same placings, which im assuming is just a mistake?
For EG: Ninja and Mafia placed 5th/6th equally, but ninja got more points than mafia, and iaguz, kez, yang and yoon placed equally 9th-12th. But iaguz got like 30 more points than yoon.

Ah, it goes on map scores, group stage results, and total games played. My spreadsheet totals the number of maps won/lost throughout the groups and double elim bracket for each player. For example, YoonYJ & RyooMak both emerged from their groups as top seeds without losing a single series. But Yoon dropped 1 map to Fenner, so his overall map score is weaker than RyooMaks, who had a flawless exit. If they had both been eliminated in the first & second round of the double elimination bracket, RyooMak would have placed higher overall than Yoon.
Also, if two players had equal map scores, but one player beat the other person, then that is also used to determine tiebreaks.
Bump! Points updated to include results from ACL Regionals. Only one event left, and some people are barely treading the line between Championship Bracket & Open Bracket!!!
I guess I'll pull out from Online round 3.. Won't really matter since even if come first (which is unlikely to happen lol), I'll get 300 its and that wouldn't put me in top16 anyway..haha
You still want to collect career points... there's no reason not to. At the end of the year, invites to the ACL Annual Event will be based on overall career points!
Also forgot to add - people who have confirmed, you have until Sunday, April 8th to pull out in-case something comes up. If you decide you can't show up after that date, you'll be penalised. There is a LOT of admin overhead in managing these events, and every no-show - whether it's online or otherwise - actually creates a lot of extra work for me!

I'll be going to play in the open bracket (or pro bracket should a nuclear bomb go off and kill the other 16 invitees first, although that would make me sad).
T_T Sucks that players like yang or EdgE are so disadvantaged by not having a regional close to them.. Could you run an extra online round for WA/SA players to get similar points as the regionals for everyone else?.. idk - sucks these guys miss out, and I understand - it's all about the number of interest to make the regionals viable...
Great job by Dox and all the other ACL Staff making this event the most prestigious event of the Star Craft calendar. It is so much fun and elevates Australian eSports to new heights! Great job guys!

That's why we have 3 online events. Almost entirely for yang, EdgE and YoonYJ.
TargA has an exam on Saturday afternoon and won't be able to attend until the next day. As a result, I'll be pushing his group matches to Sunday morning. Everyone else in his group will play the rest of their matches and resume with TargA the following day.
Details regarding the bracket show and definitive schedule will be announced soon.
