What: $100 "Grudge Match" Date: Next Next Sunday, 23th October 1PM SGT, 4PM AEST (Daylight Savings is back!) Stream: http://www.twitch.tv/benjisc2 (shot gunned 10 mins after i posted this haha) Format: Bo5, Based on WCG Map Pools with Vetoes
This is a really interesting series of events which first developed from Light's Blog. Basically Azz claimed he was the best player on that day and should have won at WCG Brisbane if not for the unfortunate technical issues, and welcomed anyone who was there on that day to challenge him to prove him wrong. PiG being the hero that he is accepted. You can read the full drama in the comments there http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/showentry.php?e=162 Oh and btw Light has earned the "Letters to Cleo" achievement for his well written series of Blogs and for being the indirect reason this event happened in the first place haha. Great job light and hope to see more blogs from you in the future! (See I'm giving you credit! Just needed to wait it out abit)
How it will be done: Azz has already sent me the $50 PiG will no doubt send me $50 soon as well
I shall serve as the Escrow and the winner will get the $100(minus paypal transactions).
The Players:
Both of them are no doubt top tier players SEA players, as well as TGM coaches and well known / outspoken members of the community. Although there isn't any actual bitterness or rivalry at all between them, this match will sort off give credit to Azz's claim if he wins that he was the best player in Brisbane that day. And if he losses, well it won't make him look very good!
Anyway props to Azz for sticking by his words and instantly sending me the money upon PiGs acceptance, and of course PiG who volunteered himself as the challenger! So thanks to both players for doing this and I hope we have an exciting show match next Sunday. If this goes well I may turn this into a weekly series where players can challenge each other for their own money, because it is not only the money at stake, there is ALOT of pride and more importantly, being a $100 event allows the event to be added on the TL calender.
