These series of steps have been one of my common goals when I play. And whenever I watch Day9 daily and his advices, he always repeats these simple guidelines. So I want to share with the sc2 sea community some steps that I follow when I play a game regardless of wining or losing.
These steps are mostly targeted to the Bronze Silver and Gold League. I am a diamond player but I feel I maybe just platinum.
As per day9 and a bit of few interjections that I added.
Step 1 Always create workers (scv, drones, probe) to strengthen economy.
Step 2 Always create supply ( Depos, Overlords, pylon) to be able to create workers and army.
Step 3 Create sufficient production facilities ( barracks, factories, ports, gateways, stargate, robo, hatcheries) if you feel that you have sufficient economy.
Step 4 Invest in upgrades after you have the tech that you wanted. Never forget them because it will strengthen your army
Step 5 SCOUT SCOUT SCOUT ! Players should scout and continue scouting even when macroing or attacking. It never hurts to scout to have more knowledge on what the opponent is doing.
Step 6 Unit control - this comes last because I know that I have much yet to learn microing and controling my units. Nonetheless if you have a large army with a good position you can just "a" the ground and win.
Step 7 Make sure you have fun.
Step 8 Be a well-mannered individual, losing is fine and it will be inevitable that you can lose in games.
Expand timings and Attack timings and Unit control are really much more complicated to teach but those above are what should be the first goals of the BSG players to flourish their foundations.
I hope players can be able to learn from what I have shared.
I started at Bronze and now I am a diamond (but i feel only platinum).
