Er, if you can DQ people who are legitimately still in gold, but are 'too good' to be gold, where do you draw the line altogether? What about people who practice custom and don't ladder as much, or people who've had unlucky streaks? What about players practicing hard for BSG that aren't promoted but have improved over what you consider the 'gold line'?
I thought this tourney was meant for players who are still in X division, but still a test of 'who's best in that area', not 'who's best but not too good in that area'.
I wouldn't like to DQ people as well, but its a fact that there will be people smurfing in BSG to get the prize or just to bully the weaker players. Therefore we have to come up with a way to stop smurfers. If they were legitimately in gold, then they wouldn't be playing as a high plat or diamond player would they? If they practice custom games, then when they are good enough, its time for them to be promoted, no? We decide who gets DQed by watching the replays and having multiple people agreeing that the player is far beyond BSG level, and that he is a smurf. Thats where we draw the line.
