Format

A Single Elimination format bracket will be hosted on Challonge.

Top 8 players from the previous SCS in terms of points will be given seeds in the brackets.

All games will be Bo3.

Map pool will be the current ladder pool. WCS veto system will be used.

Rules

Games will be played on AM server. Players can choose to play on another server if both players are agreeable to.

Players will be disqualified 15 minutes after the reporting time if they don't show up.

In the event of any disconnects, players can either use "Recover Game" under the Replays section or they can replay the game. The default option is to use "Recover Game".

No BM at all to anyone. WCS Handbook approved!

Prizes

1st: 25 SCS points + $10 AUD
2nd: 15 SCS points
3rd/4th: 5 SCS points each
5th-8th: 2.5 SCS points each

On the topic of SCS points, here are more ways to earn SCS points in this tournament:

Anyone ranked below 16th last season beats someone in Top 16: 5 SCS points
Anyone ranked below 16th last season beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher: 2.5 SCS points
Anyone ranked 16th - 9th last season beats anyone in Top 8: 2.5 SCS points
1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points

Current season's standings will be used sometime next year

Hope you guys will have fun with this tournament! Sorry to all the folks, work harder for that shiny border to join in this competitive tournament! There are a few open tournaments available for you guys to join already so I feel there should be another closed tournament for the better players. To all the , say goodbye to hopes for an easy opponent in the first round, because on Fridays, it's time to man up and face the people who are real competitions!

For an opening statement for the first FFN, as much as I can, I'll try to make this happen on a weekly basis. Sometimes I have to be out on a Friday, but hopefully I can keep this running at least once a fortnight. Never should you have less than two FFNs in a month! Time to earn those points!

Another personal statement: Sorry to the BM folks. It was good while it lasted for me. However, I feel in order to make the build up and story of SCS 2014 more exciting and entertaining, more tournaments have to be dedicated for these players. You should see an increase of and opens coming your way!
