This is an official announcement regarding the latest smurfing incident on the BSG Open #16.
Do note that:
Anyone caught smurfing (signing up with multiple accounts/playing in a compeition meant for lower leage players when youre overqualified) will be instantly banned. For god's sake grow a pair and learn to compete at your own level.
All banned players will have their bnet accounts blacklisted and will never be allowed to join a tournament held on sc2sea again.
All warned players are one step away from being permernantly banned.
Verdict:
There will be a permanent ban given to TkShadow from sc2sea.com.
There will be a final warning given to WonTon and HairyRussian. If they were to cause any more trouble in SC2SEA tournaments in the future all their achievement badges will be stripped and they will be permanently banned from the site as well.
Any attempt to make new accounts and repeat the same will result in a IP address ban which will not let you even view the site in the future.
The verdict was reached after consultation with various Admins including BakaInu, Zergtastic, cure and nirvAnA.
1. TkShadow had smurfed in BSG Open #11 and was disqualified in the past with a ban disqualifying him from joining any future BSG. He first arose suspicion and was caught during the game with VinLikeCow by me, having roughly 180 apm in a zvz game utilizing the apm without much spam. He also had a good macro by keeping his minerals below 300 during the duration of the game and his micro is well above BSG level, verging into master level micro by microing each zergling in his arsenal of roughly more than 20 zergling to receive minimal losses while keeping up with his apm and macro. Although the actual replay was not saved the witness includes Zergtastic who is the co-host of BSG alongside me. And more importantly, the next point has the conclusive evidence.
2. He then returned to smurf in BSG Open #16 (Link to bracket below) after winning the GPD (Link to bracket below) disregarding his past ban from joining any future BSG. He made a new sc2sea account but used the same Battle.net accounts that were used in BSG Open #11, #16 and in GPD Open #05. In view of this, I had immediately disqualified him from the tournament.
3. After his disqualification, he along with HairyRussian and WonTon would later cause more trouble and disrupt the BSG tournament by spamming and confusing the BSG players by giving false instructions in the chat. The battlenet chat is included below.
It is sad that higher league players who are unable to win anything at their level have to stoop so low and try to ruin everyones experience just so they can have a chance to win something.
We at sc2sea want the BSGs to remain a smurf free environment where lower league players can have fun playing with players of simlilar skill levels in a competitive environment. We will continue to try our best to provide the best experience for all our site members, and would also appreciate assistance from the BSG communinty to keep our community a safe and fair one.
You are welcome to send me PMs if you have any proof or suspect smurfers.
Regards,
BakaInu
