The custom map/mod of everyone's favourite (

) RTS, Starcraft II recently launched its Kickstarter programme. While I'm no official representative or anything, I'm just an avid Kickstarter user!

Anyways, the custom map/mod is set in an alternative timeline where the Queen of Blades has fallen. The rest you can find on the KS page or the dev site itself! But if you use the Arcade alot, you should know what this custom map/mod is all about!

A short list of the key features:-

A unique story line by Ryan Winzen which plays out in an alternate StarCraft Universe.
Dozens of custom model assets by Kiefer Traub
A wide variety of monsters, bosses and character classes
A persistent system to customize, save and load existing characters
Hundreds of customizable weapons, combat modifiers and equipment variations to choose from
Unique allocation ability system allowing the possibility of hundreds of unique builds per class
Original soundtrack
Fully voice acted cutscenes
AND MOAR

But wait. WHY ARE THEY KICKSTARTING A CUSTOM MAP/MOD?!? Well...

The devs have received blessing from Blizzard to go ahead and launch the KS, so I think it's pretty legit. What do you think?
