To add to my point on skill level, if you actually had players at a high skill level then they would end up competing with each other at tournaments, since Australia isn't very big in terms of talent. They would actually not practice together and just ladder instead which would make the teamhouse rather pointless.
Also: I don't think diamond players etc understand how much #dedication is required to become a "pro". I know I was diamond when I made the decision that I wanted to go pro and that was 2 years back, I still don't feel accomplished either. It's not like I've been slacking off, I've had to work almost full time and try to go pro as well.
I imagine if diamond players are in a teamhouse more than 50% of them will give up after reaching the realization that you can't just solemnly put hours into this game and expect to go pro, there are so many other factors like talent (the biggest one), momentum etc.
