This is a soft announcement and the purpose is to give FIFA 13 players in Singapore an early heads up as the tournament is just next month. The full announcement with the finalized details and sign up information will follow shortly.

There will be FIFA 13 Tournament tentatively held on Sunday March 3 at Funan Mall. This is to select the Singapore champion. The Singapore champion will then face off with the Australian and Japanese Champion with the prize pool tentatively being around $10,000 at a later date.

Console Issue:
I believe the whole tournament (in Japan and Australia too) will be using consoles. This is likely a standardized format request by EA.

I am aware that WCG and many of the top FIFA players in Singapore use the PC format. I will bring this issue up to them and see what can be done. However, its likely they will be sticking to PS3 and we have to follow their rules as its their tournament and do understand that it needs to be standardized throughout the tournament. i.e The final IS going to be console and Japan + Australia and using console. For PC players, my advice would be to prepare for the "worse" and start practicing on the PS3 version.

For the Singapore qualifier, there will be 8 consoles provided on the day and it will be a single day event.

Game Format:
They have specifically asked for the Ultimate Team format. This new format is something they are looking to push so we have to use it. I understand there is a luck portion associated with it. Say a team does not get Messi but another team has him. So I will be trying my best to make sure all the teams are as standardized as possible so its fair for everyone. Again, ultimately it depends on the big bosses but I will try my best, as I was a competitive player myself and know how important stuff like these are.

Seedings:
Its single elimination so seedings will be based on WCG results and consultation with the top players in Singapore.

• 32 player tournament
• 1 vs 1, single elimination
• 2x6 minute halves
• Gameplay will be on PlayStation 3s
• Gameplay mode is Ultimate Team
