I didn't want to clutter the meeting thread with this post since it doesn't really belong with the meeting, but is related to one of the things that came up.
So, summary:
- Goal is to turn SC2SEA into a news hub - a source of news for EVERYONE, not just the sc2sea community
- To achieve this I feel that we need to divide news into categories and make it more accessible, using Team Liquid as an example.
This picture is a demonstration of a possible change to layout, but mostly it serves as a demonstration of the types of categories we could have
Community Headlines would be the most actively contributed to, and would see the most contribution from people outside the news team. It also has the most original content, since it is essentially focused on the SEA community.
SC2SEA News Articles are the grander news articles - things that impact the game, major tournaments, decisions from major players in the world of eSports, (teams disbanding) etc etc. Finally, there's tournaments and results. This is almost non-existent currently, and by being separated, these posts could be very very simple. A result thread could be as simple as:

I think with a framework like this in place, we can improve in multiple areas at once, and make progress towards the goal of the "news hub"
Even the smallest donations help keep sc2sea running! All donations go towards helping our site run including our monthly server hosting fees and sc2sea sponsored community tournaments we host. Find out more here.
