Funday 2 was on 16 September 3pm SGT 5pm AEST.

This time a 2v2 informal inhouse tourney was the event. The original idea was to pair BSGP players with D/M/GM players, avoiding the well known 2v2 masters teams/pairs to ensure a more even experience.




Some highlights :
(South + Cookie vs Titan + Zeratul)
Cookie tries to hide an expand and gets away with it. South and Cookie then did a 3 gate robo and ling bane combination which nearly broke through Titan's 3 rax marine/marauder and Zeratul's 3 gate defence with Titan having to pull most of his scvs to help hold it off. Titan keeps his cool and expands behind all this pressure and with medivacs ready, Titan and Zeratul counters and wins game 1.

(Chase + Fox vs Titan + Zeratul)
At the 8th minute, Zeratul dc-ed from the game. While he was initially worried and since the game had not crossed the 10th minute mark, a remake is allowed BUT Titan did not leave the game and wins the game vs the 2 zerg players.

(Probe + Tion vs Fender + Maverick)
Probe's 4 gate and speedlings from Tion hitting at 6.10 min tore down Fender's and Mav's defenses quickly as Fender tries to go banshees and Mav getting a stargate.

(Probe + Tion vs Alexander + SpiritHunter)
Probe and Tion tries their deadly 4 gate + speedlings combination again. Alexander goes for 1 base roach timing but his roaches were at the centre of the map when the attack struck their base. So SpiritHunter's 4 gate and Alexander did not go as planned with their armies separated and Probe + Tion wins game 2.

Finals (BO3)
In the first game even though Probe had his 4 gates, Tion got greedy and took the gold base secretly as his 3rd base on Magma Core and tried to go for a 3 base roach timing. Titan and Zeratul crushed Probe and Tion with a 3 rax marine/marauders push and Zeratul's 4 gate when they realized that only Probe was doing the inital pressure and countered just when tion's roaches were popping out.

In the second game, Probe and Tion decided to go for their deadly speedlings and 4 gate combination. The pressure was strong but Titan's 3 rax marines marauders combination proved the counter and held the pressure well. Zeratul's 4 gate blink stalkers and Titan's armies then countered. Tion attempts to escape by trying to rebuild at the 3rd natural base of the opponents while Probe went for dts. The few dts did make Titan and Zeratul go back home but they soon returned with detection to complete the job.
