Dante won GPD because he's better than everyone else there. No purposely demoting or anything, you can check Dante's match history and see that every game he loses on ladder is legit.

Anyway, getting demoted from Masters to Diamond and still being better than everyone in Diamond isn't crazy. I dominated everyone (including Top 8 Masters) as Rank 1 Diamond and now I'm losing to all sorts of terrible mid-diamond players now that I'm actually in Masters. Losing a LOT.
