I might get a pair in the near future, I'll be having laser eye surgery and anything to protect the work they do would be good. Dont want to have crappy vision again within 6 months because im a sc2 nerd.
Wont be for a bit but I could do a full review if people are still interested at the time
Gunnars are quite good. I don't have them but I tried a lot of Gunnars (Phantom, PPK) at stores and friend's houses and such. If you suffer from eye dryness, the musty feeling in your eyes after looking at a computer screen for an extended period of time, try using Gunnars.
But if you don't have horrible eyesight (like me) you won't find them worth your $100. I regretted buying mine and sold it to my friend.
Do you guys need these things i wonder? I'm not even sure of the purpose for computer eye wear.. is it like protective for certain people? I just blink when my eyes get dry.
If you've seen like, ViBE stream, he usually wears them. He and InControl are the only two I've ever heard of actually use them. They say they work but... I dunno if they actually do :P Probably just a load of hooie to reap money from poor unsuspecting gamers.
I have a pair of Gunnar's .. I love them! Make it so much easier to look at the screen for long periods of time. Very little tint of yellow. but Definatly worth it in my opion
I personally never tried those gaming glasses before, but I recommend against getting those glasses, since IMO it's not worth the money, you can use the extra Rupiahs to buy a couple of shaomais (Siomay) or a glass of Cendol
There's a photo of LigagameJoThree wearing a pair of gaming glasses, maybe you could try and ask him when he's online.

I have a pair of the steelseries scope and they have definitely helped my eyes. I work in IT so whenever i'm not playing starcraft, i'm sitting in front of a pc, so I needed something to help keeps my eyes lubricated.
Worth the buy if you suffer from eye strain/fatigue.
I thought about getting Gunnars at one stage before, as they are meant to reduce eye fatigue, and damage caused by extended periods of time in front of a computer. (since I spend just about my entire life in front of one) They do a few other little gimmicky things, like keep moisture around your eyes, but the evidence to support them is flimsy at best, using a bunch of "Scientific" terms coined by Gunnars themselves, so it could just be marketing.
There is however a completely FREE way to do the exact same thing.
The reason your eyes get sore in front of a computer is because computer screens were designed to emulate the light of the sun, which your obviously not meant to look at for ages, especially at night. FLUX changes the light given off by your screen to a softer yellow (its not really noticeable though) and is just as effective as the $300/pair of Gunnars gaming glasses.
It will help to reduce eye fatigue, AND make it possible to spend even longer playing Starcraft!
