Apparently there will be an SC2 tournament in the India Gaming Carnival this coming April 6-8 with $6000 on the line. But no further information is disclosed. Any Indian community managers that can help us shed light on this?

UPDATE:

Seeing as DotA will be having a $22,500 and $7,500 prize distribution for champ and runner-up respectively, I'm guessing SC2 will have a similar one:

Champion - $4,500
Runner-up - $1,500

Hmmm...thats a lot of money o.0. I just wish the name was not so wannabe-ish.

Apparently they had command and conquer (it's actually played competitively?) before sc2, it got replaced later.

Most likely. Hopefully a lot of SEA players would attend.

It looks like their very first big esports event. Maybe that's why it seems shady.

Hey so I'd like to update this.I am the game admin for SC2 and we have this tournament on. I would LOVE for you professional players to come and play with us. Would you guys be able to make it?

Updated Rule set and tourney here. If you need anything please email me at kageman[at]gmail[dot]com or skype kagemanz to talk about the tourney.

If you let me know in advance, I'll make sure you guys are taken care of. Even though travel and stay expenses are borne by individual players, everything else can be taken care of here!

We have changed the format of the tournament a bit. We have a lifeline option where you can buy your way into double elim for the first round only. We also give you a cash prize for every round you clear till the pre-quarter finals.

Prize money should be payed out in a cheque format at the end of the event. Most tournies though usually give it within a week. But I presume it'll be up to take before the event ends.

We have about 50 confirmed players. Internationally we are still taking in registrations.
