I've updated this OP to include all necessary information in this thread.
The fantastic guys have supplied the sc2sea.com people a block of tables that has capacity for ~30 computers! Just mention you are from sc2sea! However, this doesn't mean you should not book a ticket and pay for it online (50 bucks), as things seem to be filling up incredibly quickly. Ontop of having our own playing space, we have been allocated a small stage area for us to be awesome on!
So even if all of the people listed below, bring a PC, and need a spot, I think we r going to be okay! Huge thanks again to the organisers for being so flexible! Especially so close to the event itself!
For extra information, or to register for the SGL, head over to their website: www.sgl.org.au
If you know of anybody else going that is from sc2sea, post or PM me and I will add them to the list (this isnt necessary of course, people might just like to see who is going to judge whether they themselves are going)

Reason: Updates
I was wanting to find out how this would work. I was going to see if I could contact them this afternoon when I get home from work and see if I can find out a little bit of info about how groups work and how the seating all works.
I can ask the guy who owns SGL, but tbh I dont think its required, no1 is going to bag out other games because theyll be too busy playing games they like, a LAN is all about meeting and mingling with different people, rather than going into this thinking other communities are bad, how about going with a positive attitude, while there are alot of keyboard warriors out there, most people are pretty nice in real life

unfortunately, there are always going to be those keyboard warriors.. and I just think I'd enjoy it more around ppl I can talk sc2 with.. rather than sitting by myself surround by ppl playing diff games... it's no different than being at home then rly.. like u said mingling with different people - it'd be more fun being with a group then going solo.. but noted.
shall we take this to the other thread?? i.e.: copy over the OP?
Didn't realise you were also from Canberra loach. I'm hoping to go up for this also but can't confirm just yet (money and kids) but I would prefer to be sitting near the familiar people that are on sc2sea over people that play different games.

Drop bears, gotta watch out for dem Drop Bears! - ToR!
Usually LANs are much nicer then Australia wide big gaming events.
People are more chilled and go to have fun/play random games they suck at/leech free programs and royalty free music.
I know the the ozfortress guys (competitive TF2 community) have an area dedicated to them, so I'm fairly sure that booking an area is possible. I'm just not sure on the specifics.
I know that lans are a good place to socialise and meet new people but, as Djvillian said, it is nice to know that you're going to have people near you that you know or at least have something in common with (apart from vidya gaymes lol), especially if you're coming all the way from canberra. I know i'm going to be hanging out with my friends who play TF2 while i'm there no matter where i'm seated.
and from there you guys can start planning where to meet up, what to do, etc
also makes it easier cause you know whos going and who to look out for / talk to while you're there!
Quite a few players will be there that everyone knows (Glade, iaguz, Rossi, PiG are 4 off the top of my head), I imagine people will usually congregate around them.
I would imagine so as well Benji, however, imagine coming late.. and being around nothing but BF3 players on the far side of the hall. I wouldn't enjoy it as much..
The pro's also may want to all be near each other/other sc2 players, so that they can concentrate better perhaps

1. Don't come late
2. When you aren't playing, just chill with the cool people
Guys - If you want to sit together you can email the admins with a list of 5+ names and they can seat you together. Unfortunately I think we've left it way to late and chances are we won't be able to contact everyone in time to organise a mass booking. Floorplan is below for reverence. If anyone wants to organise a group I might be a part of it but just letting you guys know the process.
