- The Harbinger is the "un-official" Oceanic PvE server
- Swiftsure is the"un-official" Oceanic PvP server
- The Harbinger is a little less populated in terms of queues etc. (which are rare on Harbinger now, as in 15 min max on saturday afternoon while the US is still up)
- There was a big effort to match Oceanic guilds pre-launch, and as such there is a really strong and faction distributed Aus population on Harbinger (and I assume Swiftsure but I'm not on it).
- Oceanic servers I "believe" have been confirmed
- Char transfers have NOT been confirmed, though the belief is that they are looking at it.
- March seems to be the time they have hinted at.
- Re: PvP vs. PvE server, it's like WoW in that PvE means you have to flag for world PvP outside the specific PvP zones. PvP means you can be griefed everywhere.
- PvE is awesome sauce. I've done most flashpoints, some of them on Hard Mode, and will be starting raiding with my guild tonight.
- Leveling, questing, and flashpoints all feel like part of an ongoing story that I'm immersed in, and I feel like my character has personality (and is someone I identify with). In other MMO's I often had no idea about the purpose or story behind what I was doing, and I usually didn't think of my character as anything more than an avatar with kewl looking gear and nice stats.
- Mechanics and stats are similar to WoW, with the Star- Warsy / KOTOR feel. Combat flows well, is well paced, and is just fun.
- PvP is actually really nice. It's hella fun and balanced around team combat (not 1v1) IMHO
- Warzones are well designed and massive fun. Teams and classes tend to be balanced so some epic battles are common.
- The variety of different warzones is good and keep things mixed up.
- Huttball rox!!!
- World PvP is a little hit and miss at the moment. Outlaws Den is often deserted at the moment, and Ilum has just seen a bit of an overhaul. Ilum does have awesome potential though, and is great fun when the 2 factions have even numbers.
