What have your SC2SEA Tournament experiences been like?
The SC2SEA histed tournaments have been, somehwat of a pain for me I've entered the Community Open for tonight and I hope it's not another PvP against a Top 200 GM. In all my participations in the COs or the Masters Cups I have had at least one run-in with a Top 200 GM Protoss or fellow Master, quite frankly, it shits me up the wall -_-. With that aside, feel free to post anything about your good or bad experiences in SC2SEA Tournaments

Why don't you enter some of the many tournaments for lower league players?!
like BSG or PD opens? if your Master league you should be entering the CO's and challenging yourself in your quest for GM!...
but really.. there are alot of other tournaments that cater to all skill levels.. find one of them.
Personally, I have been smashed in countless tournaments and only improved. I think that challenging yourself while setting high goals is a good way to ensure steady improvement, which ended up working for me.
I'm a bronzie, and I love entering any tourney I can, regardless of general skill level of my opponents. Sucks getting dominated in the first round, but it is definitely good experience.
As ChadMann said, there are a bunch of other tournies you can enter too. Last I heard there was at least two possibly three BSG tournies being run on weekends.
Tonight will be my 50th tournament on sc2sea so far all preeetty gewd. Don't play in an OPEN if you don't want to get dominated if you aren't a top player. It would be like complaining about how some one beat you if you went an run in an open running race.
Aean v FlashMUSE first round. My thor rush is unscouted.. then when it is about to spawn i realise the armory i built next to my factory blocked it from spawning TT
I joined a BSG recently, first tourney ever, and it was a great experience. Got knocked out at round of 16, went on to cast the rest of the games, made friends easily with people I don't even know a single thing about except for what they're names are online. Certainly for anyone out there whether casual or serious, joining a tourney is a great experience.
Taking down TADanny in the PDCL last night... I'd played him before back when the 1v1 channel was somewhat popular and we were both much worse and gotten completely outplayed, and I wasn't hugely confident in my TvT coming into it.
I then played terribly and got crushed in my best matchup by TADracover, but I'm still happy to have won my first game in a sc2sea tourney (been crushed first round of CO by / a few times...
At the moment im entering every Co and ESL i can and through entering these ive lost to MasterSPR 2ce (once in ro8 of ESL and last CO in 3rd round) greentea and yoonyj. and through each loss its been a little thing in which a few of them i was ahead. through each one of these though its given me confidence that im not that far off the pace its a few little things im missing positioning wise and getting a chance to play these players and watch the replays has helped a lot. Overall these are giving me confidence as each time i play in one its giving me a new experience in vsing a high level player and two im doing better each time from doing this and giving me confidence in laddering to gm. my 2 cents
only played in one CO, the first one and won that! played in two of the 2v2 opens we had for awhile partnering yoonyj and we won both of them! played in the KOF twice, i believe once with iaguz/pig. Got absolutely stomped in that lol. Anyway I love tournaments and wish i had more time to play them. dont think i ever joined esl or masters cup cause i can't commit 3-4+ hours at a stretch like that and wife will get mad. sigh!@
