With from how much people seem to have enjoyed the BSG clan league that was until recently run by deL, I thought it might be fun to run another one for some slightly higher level players that have missed out on this so far, and GPD seems to be where it's at.

It would be cool to be able to do this in a similar format to the BSG league, with two groups playing a round robin to decide who plays off for the title. I will try and think of something to offer as a prize for this if there's enough interest to go ahead (and not money or anything, before anyone complains about encouraging people to not improve... just some token).

If there is anyone else with an interest in running this with me it would be really awesome, as I don't always have a tonne of free time to spend 2 nights a week adminning, and I would like to be able to play for ToR as well.

So if there are enough teams that express an interest in this, I'm keen to get involved in making it happen in the weeks after the BSG league wraps up.

GPD I dislike the idea of as it steals gold players from BSGCL, perhaps PDM instead of GPD?

There's a huge discrepancy between Gold and Diamond players and in regards toe ToRSynizta, there's a even bigger discrepancy between Platinum and Masters players. IMO have the league for Platinum and Diamond players only so PDCL.

Yeah PDCL would work well, give those players a chance to be involved with a fomat simular to BSGCL and perhaps have both competetions run side-by-side?

Yeah, i thought of PDM too, but the difference between low and high masters is massive as well... any decent mid-high masters player should all-kill a team of plat/diamonds without breaking a sweat.

There is some overlap, but I don't think it's a problem. There is a skill gap between gold and diamond, but there are other GPD tournaments on this site. I don't know how many Bronze players got many games in the BSG tournament, and it will probably be a similar case here. I see no reason to disallow Gold players if there is a clan that can't field a full roster without them, but they will have a hard time playing against diamonds.

yea i think a gpd would be a good idea as it links the gold plyer into the higher end players and shows the next level of skill within the game as bronze players are shown in the bsg leagues and then u could have a dm league to link diamonds to the next level if you really wanted thats my persprective on this anyway :P

I'm keen on this a well. Maybe have teams enter a small amount into a pot for the winners to take?

I think gpd. I hav a theory that it will be the higher level golds that want to play and not the lower, these golds are usually at plat level.

Crux is mostly masters, i think.

It would be nice to get to at least 10 teams if we want to do a similar format to the BSG league. Not going to start for at least a few weeks so there should be plenty of time to find some more teams.

Eras, i suggest that, doing it like this; BSGCL finishes this season, then GPD has it's season, then BSGCL has it's season again once after GPD finishes, and continue like that, that way no clashes in terms of golds having to be forced to choose between?

Agreed, was thinking the same thing actually.... alternating the seasons is a good way to give each one a break.

Hmm... I don't know... I am going to get promoted to Masters soon but I still have 10-20 Diamond Players in my clan that can be separate teams in the League. If you are going to make it PDM then we also have around 10-15 Masters + GM

I share the opinion of some of the others in this thread, I don't think it should go up to masters as the difference between a masters and a Gold or Plat player is pretty significant. I think GPD is the best way to go. Either way I'll play in it

Crux has 5 players in diamond and 3 are top of diamond so i dnt think its viable for us maybe if we had a partnership with another team in the same situation or teamed up with ToR for it as ToR is on friendly terams with crux

i think its good idea to have alternating season as then you can have a consistant league for people to play in as im sure a diamond/masters league will start up eventually and this aslo means people can constantly play with people slightly better from them and look and learn what they are doing better i think the casters will be crucial to this though to help people learn faster. i don't think we should have casters who are below diamond casting a bsg as that won't help or a players below masters for a gpd so that people watching the stream (assuming there is one) won't get the full benifit out of this league. I'm willing to give it a go for the bsg league for a week in week out deal or something when i get my new computer as i just upgraded internet. but i feel that all the clans thats participate should get a high enough level player who can to give casting a go. i say this as i believe the casting needs to be done by higher level players and is a good way to open up communication between clans to make exchanges like above more viable. sorry for long message just a bit of food for thought let me knwo what you think
