Hi im a diamond toss wanting to play terran, ive just started on a new account that is in bronze and was just wondering if some terrans could reply with a few pointers as what i should be doing and maybe just some other random helpful pointers, thank you

Hmm. generally for every saturated base you can have +3 Barracks + 1 Fact + 1 Starport. But because you don't normally saturate everything, its good to +2 Barracks (reactors or marauder producing) + 1 Fact + 1 starport. But since Terran does not need so much air, you can mix and match the facts : barracks : ports ratio.

I'm diamond protoss myself, but I'm plat terran in 2v2. I know nothing about TvT.

1 base can hold 4 producing structures. Usually it is 2x rax 2x factories, 3x rax 1 starport, or 1x rax 3x factories. For first 3 rax, you need one with reactor and 2x with tech lab. Then you just add tech lab rax for marauders. Starport is usually with reactor for fast ME or viking spam.

There are two major styles - mech (factory) or bio (rax). Marines, medivacs, ghosts, vikings and banshees are used in both, and are addition to core.

Most people play bio. That is - you build a bunch of reactor and tech lab rax, get stim, and a-move your marauder ball with medivacs. There are two openers that work against pretty much everything. First is 2x rax and expo, 2nd is 3x rax, push, then expo. FE would be considered 1x rax-> expo. You need to build a factory and a starport with reactor. Things to know - don't overstim and keep an eye on medivac energy. Rush for upgrades. Add vikings and ghosts to counter 99% of what people can throw at you.

Then there is mech. 2 types of mech - tank marine and thor hellion. First is used in TvZ, 2nd is...kind of not used at all. At least I never see it in my games.

Stim timing push is 7:30. 2-rax expo is 6 min. Tank marine push is 11 min. 3rd expo is 13-14 min. 1 orbital scan costs you 260 minerals in the longer run.

If you have 4 orbitals, you can cut your scv count a lot.

Popular T cheese - scv all-in, proxy 2-rax, bunker rush, PF rush.

For harass, use cloaked banshees and medivac drops.

You can also go hellion-tank in TvT but you need to have either vikings or banshees or you lose to banshees/marauders respectively.
