I'm all about pushing the rules to the limits.... it's how starcraft players find the best builds and expose imbalances...... it does say both players in the tournament description implying only two players.... but in a star craft court of law a jury of nerd peers might have sided with the trichon... it would have been cooler if they beat them with the extra person but i guess if moneys on the line DQs look cooler.

Drama aside, really fun tournament. I'm glad we got to play in it, and I don't want to feel like we only casted so that we could get 'ez money' xdxd so we will cast more in the future. Thanks for the fun night!
Guys, thanks for all who participated, congratulations to the semi-finalists and winners, and sorry for any inconvenience.
For me it is indifferent who wins, if I had a preference for someone I would just donate the money and not waste anyone's time with a tournament, or not make it open to all regions.
Eddie and I will work harder on the next tournament and make idiot-proof rules.
Again, thanks to all and sorry for anything.
Good stuff Guys. It was fun and while it was totally broken to have 3 people on a team, let's remember that this is one of the first archon tournaments and we can learn from it. Rifking is a massive whiney bitch and i hope people realise this soon. He's done worse in numerous serious tournaments and this one was just supposed to be a bit of fun..
The mature approach would have been to realise it was a bit imba and continue playing as 2. However rifking likes to whine and its probably the closest he will get to winning an SC2 tournament.
I still think eddie and saulo are total ballers, good stuff mates.
Also I'd like to say that the rule for the semis and finals was really fun. with a little tweak I think it's probably one of the better new rules been used. Each team/player should have to play each race once for the first 3 games, then the races should reset(ie t,z,p,z,t or w/e ). It made it really fun because we actually had to plan out not only what builds we'd use but also think about when we should use our main race because we could only use it twice.
Hopefully there are more archon mode tournaments in the future .

Yeah that was really cool! Another one of Saulo's innovative ideas
I totally agree with Chadmann the tournament looked super fun and I'd love to play next one. Rifkin is a massive sook and was being a total hypocrite with the whole situation. e.g. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/star...radetv-tfbc#11
So in the immortal words of Rifkin "our house our rules" "you weren't going to win anyway".
Truthfully speaking, there's no need for justification, it's our tournament (OUR HOUSE OUR RULES). Hopefully all the other tournament organizers (LOL) out there who are constantly holding Archon Tournaments (LOL) will look at this post and learn something from it, because for me, all this does it put another point in the "Don't waste time with shitty american casters" coloum.
its funny how if you just change a few words, his own words come back to haunt him..
Guys, thanks for the words of support. We don't get it right the first time, this was a fun event just to fill the time until WCS and if you say we accomplished this, I believe in you.
ChadMann, if I was a father and I knew my kid watches and clap hands for someone that behaves like a 12 y/o boy that says that bunch of crap, just because he has a microphone and 2k other kids watching it, I would be pissed off. That guy is not an example for anyone to follow, as a person, can't even behave like a man.
its rather unfortunate isnt it that toxic morons get all the notice (because hey the are interesting) but those who try to put out a professional stream get overlooked.
I will say like I said on Twitter though, Baliscendo enjoyed playing in this tournament and look forward to something similar later on. Cheers for coming up with the idea Saulo!
