Hey everyone,

I ran a QLD competition back in the day at GGF LAN. I'm currently doing a lot of CS:GO comps around the place but I wanted to get back into some SC2 comps again. I have a venue on the Gold Coast currently that I can host it out of.

Basically I'm just after an idea of interest from you guys, the community to see if you were keen. It would be a 32 player comp. General admission would be around $30, this would pay for the hire of the venue and money to go towards the prize pool. It would be prepay and there would be hardware prizes as well. It won't be anything as amazing as the guys from ACL deliver but we certainly try and put on an event that is just as fun!

I haven't played SC2 in a really long time (guilty I know) but if you have any suggestions, ideas, thoughts, comments, etc that could point me in the right direction I'd love to hear them. The more information I can get from you the more I can learn and help put on more events.

Oh also, before I forget. I have a lot of gear that I use for live streaming that can be provided so there will be opportunities for players who like to do SC2 casting to come along and do your thing

I'd be very keen to head down from Bris. I have terrible luck with having stuff come up that conflicts with LANs though, so hopefully I can actually get there!

will know exact dates next week and will update the post here.

The venue would be the new XZone Net Cafe in Southport.

It will most likely be a Saturday and will go from about 9am till 9pm. There will also be pool tables I'm told.

As for comp details, I'm not up-to-date with the exact comp maps you guys enjoy so let me know and I'll make it happen.

Thanks dude, seems pretty straight forward. I'm heading to the venue next weekend to check it out and will talk with the owners on locking in a date for the comp

G'day mate,

I went to check out the venue on the weekend and have a date for the competition. Just checking to make sure it doesn't clash with anything but it will be first or second week in Sept at the moment. The venue looks amazing as well, I have some photos that I will post up tomorrow as well.

Currently working on an information and registration page for the competition
