Some criticisms:
I feel like there could have been a bit more research and time spent on SEACL. It's been the number one thing going on for the past few weeks and it kinda got skipped through pretty quick. Half of T1 was missed, as well all of the lower leagues.
On the other hand I think you spent too much time on the Foreigner & HotS discussion which kind of went in circles or lacked direction and I started to lose interest about half way through each segment (you lost a bunch of viewers in these parts).
Having Blysk on was nice, and props to him for his commitment to make it there during his break! Hopefully you can keep a good variety of players on for the variance in opinions.
I guess it's still worth a watch, but I felt like this week was pretty rough and there definitely could be improvements for next episode.
This weeks show was thrown together pretty haphazardly at the last minute. Whilst I obviously want the show 100% ready good to go, I feel just getting it on regardless and producing content is the more important thing. More preparation and scheduling will definitely go into it next time. As for seacl, I never plan to cover more than tier 1, purely because you can't expect the 'pros' on the talk show to know 5 divisions of randoms they've barely played/nor heard of before. It kinda sucks but that's just the way it is. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone in the community that knows enough about divisions 2-5 to talk much about it, and even if they did it would take a loooooooong time to cover.
As for the Foreigner + hots discussion, I felt the foreigner discussion maybe went a few minutes to long, but I would always rather something go slightly longer and we cover it 100% as opposed to possibly missing something.
Definitely liked having a protoss on the show haha
Yeah I think we can improve by the non-kez people knowing some stuff about most of the points at least have done research into the results or read up the articles/posts before we go live. As long as we all think about what we have to say on each thing beforehand than we should be able to produce better discussions.
Kez responsiblity should be to choose the topics and what to focus on within these topics and to keep us on track. Obviously we want Kez weighing in on topics too, but at the moment it seems like there's too much burden on him to provide the content and push discussion. Therefore he gets distracted from his role of keeping us focused on a few things in each topic and cutting us short when we start talking in circles.
So in summary. Kez try to keep us organised and cut us off when it gets boring or goes in circles. Non-Kez's such as myself, try to actually know some basics on each topic beforehand, do a bit of research.
EDIT: Although not necessarily a huge lot to talk about could do some research on venue or even just use it as a follow on from ACL OR2 conversation. Perhaps talk about your thoughts on the ACL Pro Zone and what you would like to see at the major ACL events of the year.
Small and sweet with random bring ups! maybe also discuss with HotS going live very soon, what do you feel the metagame is heading towards? Unless I somehow missed it? >.<
Updated op with this but ill post here as well
