nirvAnA is sick of being the most hated admin and so has decided the time has come for me to torture the citizens of SEA instead. So starting this Sunday at noon AEDT will be the fifth birthday contest - a puzzle hunt spanning four days.

Each day a set of puzzles will be released. The contest is first past the post, but the final stage is relatively straightforward and does not require blind guesswork or interpretation of what's in my mind.

If you don't like puzzles, hopefully you can laugh groan at the story instead. :)

I think that the prize should be bumped up for this - the amount of effort put in by paperclip + whoever solves everything seems disproportionate to the prize.

(Edit: as in they are all '1-step', you get the answer straight away, it's not a hint to more stuff. I've probably traumatized you by day 1 that you are just over-thinking them.)

yep, based on the difficulty a first prize of $10 000 seems enough, with places 2-10 getting $1000 each

I'm pretty sure there's a mistake in 2.1, 2nd row 5th letter should be an 'R' not a 'D'. But maybe having it as a D works too, but for me I solved it when it was an 'R'.
