How does it feel to find a new home with Fray and what excites you most about your new team?

It feels awesome to be a part of Fray! I have been looking for a new team ever since I left Iris and was very happy to be given this opportunity. Fray are a great bunch of guys and I look forward to playing with them.

You recently went to Tokyo where you took third place at AEC how was that experience and how do you feel you performed?

Tokyo Games Show was a really good experience. I've never been to Asia so everything was completely new to me. It was great to meet all the players too. As for my performance, I felt I played pretty poorly. I've never travelled anywhere to play before and live events always make me nervous. So I got completely outplayed by Mafia in the 1st round. In the 2nd round I nearly got knocked out after losing the first game to a cannon rush. However I managed to win the next two games convincingly. I won the next two rounds and made it to the losers bracket finals, again vs Mafia. Got crushed again >.< Although I came third, I wasn't really happy with my play and definitely need to improve my play at live events.

Next up for you is EB Expo in Aussie where you will be representing Fray for the first time, what are your expectations for the event and who would you like to play during the event?


I'm really looking forward to the EB Expo as it will be my first time to Australia and first time representing Fray. I was already feeling very confident for this event after seeing that many of the top players entering would be ineligible for the ESWC Qualfification due to their MLG trip. The brackets made me even more so. I feel I can beat my first round opponent and probably my second round opponent. Although I don't feel I can beat Mafia if I make it that far, dropping into the losers bracket there would not put me too far away from qualifying. I feel if I perform as well as I can then I will have a good run at this tournament.

You are playing over 30 hours a week or so currently, what has inspired you to train so hard?

To be honest, I don't know how I keep playing so much. Theres always a lot of motivation for me because I want to perform well at tournaments but I don't feel thats the only thing contributing. I've pretty much got into a routine at the moment where I basically play SC2 whenever I'm not at school or studying. I'm not really interested in anything else so its difficult to get distracted. I have no idea how long this will last but I think its good to make the most of it as its the only way I'll ever play at the level I aspire to.

What goals do you have for the next six months in Starcraft II?

My only goals are to keep improving and to perform well in tournaments. Although I have exams coming up, after that I really want to focus as much as I can on SC2. If I continue to do that then hopefully more awesome opportunities will arise!

Have you had a chance to play HoTS yet? If so what are your thoughts?

Nope. Although I considered it when I got a beta key, I didn't really think it would help me improve and it was therefore a distraction which I was not interested in.
